Staff are great, especially Mike on nights who always welcomes you and has a chat. Facilities are good, pool table is a good place to hang out with your mates, the buildings constantly being cleaned. Rooms are the perfect size and the kitchen and living area is very spacious with comfy couches. Overall great accom and very social between flats. Also lots of events on hosted by glassworks.

Friendly Staff, rooms are all nice with en suites, big kitchen with lots of storage and fast internet. I feel safe with 24/7 security, never have had a problem!!

I have never such a great welcoming feeling before when moving into glassworks, very friendly and quick service when moving in, the rooms are an amazing size and very clean with a bathroom to fit all my needs, plenty of room in the kitchen to cook while others are at the same time. Extremely friendly staff that help me in whenever I very stupidly lock myself out, they are more than kind and approachable. Very good facilities and internet and a great building to meet new people.

Had a lot of issues with the lift this year… it seems to be always broken. Water pressure this year in my flat isn’t great and had issues with washing machines not working for a while. Internet can be slow when playing online.

We have not been made aware of the water pressure issue, so please take your concerns to staff and they'll be more than happy to help. We are also waiting for new washing machines, but when they have gone down in the past we strive to fix them the same day. We also weren't aware of the internet issue, please bring this to the attention of staff and they will be more than happy to help.
Great modern accomodation. Full of freebies which is helpful. But could keep on top of things quicker that need to be fixed.

Glassworks is a safe place and I always feel comfortable there. The rooms are very modern, I wish there was a little more storage I.e shelves above bed. The en-suites are a great size although the shower drainage isn’t the best. Glassworks staff are extremely friendly and are always up for a chat. They make you feel really at home. The Social areas are reasonable.

Always a clean environment in the areas outside of the flats and the staff are extremely friendly and happy to help with problems, security are very reassuring and helpful. Could use more social areas outside of the flats but overall a very good accommodation.

I am a current nursing student staying in gladsworks accomodation. On arrival in september I was greeted on arrival and showed to my room staff was very welcoming and always have been since. From September to now I have made a good group of friends, staff are always friendly and helpful when you need someone’s help or just a chat. The whole accommodation is well maintained and always clean and tidy. Parcels are always kept safe

My experience with living in glassworks has helped my overall anxiety of moving away from home. It has been enjoyable and fun to live in this accommodation! They constantly have events on which is really good to meet new people and interact. The cleanliness and security is excellent on site, as well as the reception staff. They have helped my mental well being due to living away from home. They are friendly and welcoming no matter what the issue is :)

The location is great and around a really close library only a 1 minute walk. There’s also a lot of security around and plenty of other student accommodations to make you feel safe. I’m currently in my second year of uni and I haven’t had any problems. Although I would recommend getting a Ethernet cable as the wifi is sometimes bad.

The staff are lovely, though there have been some issues with organising events when they either don't happen, or they end sooner than they said they would

I’m currently staying in glassworks for my first year of uni, it’s perfect for nurses as the uni campus is so so close. All the staff are so lovely and always willing to help, I also love the events that be ran every couple of weeks that are run by chealsea, faye Louis and the student ambassador Jodie

The loveliest staff, all of them are so friendly and willing to help 24/7! The best facilities, everything I need is either inside the accommodation or a 5-10 minute walk away. The rooms are a great size and the communal living area in the flats are massive compared to other accommodations that I’ve seen, the wifi is also super fast which is an added bonus. Such a great place to live and I’m so so glad I picked it :)

All the staff are so lovely! Chelsea, Louie, Faye, Kevin and Monica are all amazing; very nice and I always have great chats with them. They all take their time to know the students living in the accommodation. Honestly could not ask for better staff. Accommodation on a whole is great, any issues that present are always sorted within a timely manner. Layout is great and comfortable and there are always little events on that are inclusive and allows students to mingle and win things etc.

Rooms were nicely sized with enough storage. I had no issues aside from some of my boxes getting damp/dirty in the under bed storage - though this is a minor problem. The bathrooms were pretty nice, the showers felt quite big. I had some issues with noise as I could occasionally hear the people above/next to me but this is expected especially with students. The kitchen and communal space was really good. The appliances they gave us all worked well, though the oven was very slow to heat, and the fridge had a damaged shelf fixed with sellotape. When going into other flats I realised that the communal spaces were different sizes (our was decently larger than our neighbours’). Glassworks frequently put on social events like a pancake day and a Eurovision quiz. Though I didn’t attend many of them it was nice to know they were going on. Overall I enjoyed my time at glassworks, but with the prices going up I don’t think I would return.

The staff at Glassworks are really friendly and helpful, and put on lots of social events. The accommodation is in a really useful place, being 10 minutes from town and the bus station which was so beneficial as a student nurse travelling to placement.

Glassworks is a great place to live. Staff on desk really friendly. Living space a great size and short walk to all the restaurants, bars and clubs. Great location for the Avril Robarts Library and nearby LJMU buildings.

Helpful and extremely friendly staff and overall a great place to live. The rooms are really nice and of a decent size. The location is by far my favourite thing about this accommodation as you are 10-15 mins walk from everything you need. The only thing that would make it better is wifi improvement, as I’ve experienced a few drops in my wifi every so often but nothing that would impact my studies.

Since I moved into Glassworks there’s been countless issues. When we moved in there was a lot of stuff that was either broken or missing. If you raise anything at reception or through maintenance it won’t get sorted. I know of people who’s bedroom door hasn’t locked all year even though the staff are aware of it. Abodus uses incentives and rewards for leaving good reviews so I wouldn’t trust many reviews on here as most people have probably been bribed. The only good thing is the location. I wouldn’t live at glassworks again if you paid me.

I would absolutely recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for somewhere super close to uni and also the city centre. All the staff are incredible, super friendly and go above and beyond for all the residents, there isn’t a problem too big. Everything is dealt with as soon as possible and efficiently too. I’ve been living here since 2020 and have rebooked for my 3rd year. The flats are all nice and modern and the rooms are lovely and spacious.

The accommodation is in a great location with amenities near by such as bargain booze and Tesco express. We are a 10 minute walk to the city centre and clubs as well as the docks. We have takeaway shops on our doorstep as well as the local pub across the road. The staff Laura, faye Darren and Wendy have been friendly and accommodating from the start. The social experience has been great most of my friends having met within the accommodation. The rooms are nice and spacious and easy to decorate to your own style.

Glassworks is the a best value for money i’ve witnessed. One of the things me and my flatmates appreciate is the water pressure it amazes me every time i step in the shower. In glassworks, all the staff are very helpful and on hand with whatever we need especially due to our recent trauma. Living here has been a good experience the living space is good and has a very good size kitchen. However the cleanliness could have been better we were given a dirty mop and kitchen could have been cleaned better before arriving. There is rarely any social events.

Excellent location however our flat was filthy when we arrived. My room had marks all over the walls and the flat looked like it hasn’t even been cleaned before we arrived. One girls toilet hadn’t even been flushed when she moved in so that shows that a once over wasn’t even done in the rooms. Things aren’t fixed in a timely manner and some things just don’t get fixed at all.

The only thing I would want to changed or to be a little better is the WiFi. It’s good for work but if 2 people use consoles (Xbox/PS4/ps5) in the flat it makes it slower for everyone else for some reason. Apart from that. Everything is perfect.

Glassworks is such a nice place to live, everyone makes it so homely. The manager John always so lovely and makes you feel so welcome. The rooms are nice and spacious and the kitchen is the perfect size for everyone to sit together. You’ll never feel lonely at glassworks because between the chatty house keeping Wendy and the hilarious receptionist Faye. It’s close to town and within walking distance to everything. I would honestly recommend this accommodation to everyone.

Ideal accommodation for and students living in Liverpool. Staff are really friendly and helpful, and the place is always well taken care of and clean. The rooms and kitchen are a great size with plenty of storage too. It is very close to the uni building/library and there are plenty of shops nearby. Definitely a social area for students especially with the town being under a 10 minute walk.

Considering the difficult alterations that are having to be made for corona the Glassworks staff are providing great support. While my flat is self isolating they are bringing up our post and food deliveries. The rooms are more spacious that I originally thought which is amazing, there’s plenty of storage space and the kitchen/living room area is nicely decorated.

Incredibly clean living space. Some of the best and most helpful staff I've met. They've were so supportive during the lockdown. The location is great because it's practically next door to everything you'd need as a student. Overall it was amazing living there and I highly recommend it to any student.

Superb location for LJMU students, as it's right by the campus and a library. I stayed in a studio, which had everything I needed. The room was very spacious, with a great ensuite bathroom, plus full kitchen appliances which I never had any issues with. Included on site was ensuite laundry (which was reliable and you could track via your phone). Alongside other great facilities like a gym, and social zones. Any issues I had such as batteries running out in my door (because they use a secure FOB system) they were changed almost immediately, by the very friendly maintenance guy. All the staff were great, and were very easy to speak to. They constantly would put on weekly events, to get everyone involved and socializing. They have security on site of an evening who are always very friendly and easy to talk to, and makes the whole place feel very secure. Overall I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great accommodation, with great staff and facilities.

Abodus in general have been a horrible company preying off financially unstable students in these unprecedented times. While I was living there the backgates were always broken allowing anyone to enter the accommodation. In the finals weeks that I was living there nothing was cleaned. I left before the last instalment was due and they expect me to pay the full rent when other accommodations have either released their tenants from their contracts or reduced the rent. Thank you very much for your review. At Glassworks we hope all our residents are aware, we endeavour to fix any issues as quickly as possible. In March 2020 we had brand new gates fitted and during this period there has been issues with residents pressing the emergency break button. However, this is quickly reset as a matter of urgency by the site team. Prior and during COVID-19 we have increased cleaning measures, whist keeping the community of Glassworks our top priority.
A fantastic location for students of Mathematics who have just a 5 minute walk to lectures. The management team are helpful and supportive, I used the gym a lot and the pool table too. My flat was a good size, clean, bright and airy, The kitchen was a great place to meet up. I loved my time here.

Glassworks is very expensive for what it is. It’s one of the most expensive halls in Liverpool and no way should it cost this much. Since arrival, many things have broken or are very worn, such as the sofa that was shredded after just a week and the hoover which has never worked. The location is good and very close to uni and the staff are quite nice. However it’s very loud and sleeping is an issue if you live here permanently, I have now moved back home which is only 45 minutes away luckily due to the noise levels and lack of work ethic from some of my flat mates. There has been warning to my flat for noise, smoking, drugs etc but nothing ever followed through. I’m very disappointed as I was very excited about glassworks but now I would never ever stay again and wouldn’t be recommending it to anyone. I’m now paying for a flat that I don’t even live due to these bad conditions.

It is a simple,clean and spacious place to live however many facilities are low par if not unacceptable for the amount we pay, considering we are students and paying £139 a week, I would expect couches to not have peeling pleather, the showers to not clog and leak, the oven to not take 40 mins to cook food that should take 20, doors breaking often and the bed which is extremely uncomfortable to come with a mattress topper as advertised rather than a paper thin sheet. The common room is actually just a corridor and there is not enough washing machines for the amount of students than live here. There was often unannounced visits from team members many times a week, sometimes without even telling residents when they were in the flat. not worth the money but a great location and much love for Paul.

For how expensive it is a week I would not recommend. There is no common room and barely a study room. ( the common room is a hall that they put a pool table in.) they offer barely anything for the students living here Including events held by team here. Also rooms provide minimum storage. Only good thing about the place is the friendly security man.

The staff that work on reception/the cleaners/security are all very friendly and helpful. Everything is clean and when things are broken, maintenance is quick to fix them. It’s also in a good location.

Glassworks is the best accommodation to live in for your first year of uni! They have a range of monthly activities you can choose from and the people are just so nice and helpful. The building is clean and whenever you have a problem the staff doesn't hesitate to fix it as soon as possible.
