This student apartment is really popular among glasgow students. lt’s close to two large supermarket, and around 13 minutes walk to the campus. The most surprised thing is the price for each week is reasonable.

All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

Great! It is highly recommended. It has the best location, the largest space and the most convenient life. I am very happy to live here
Nice experience at the West View,The location is convenient, close to the supermarket and the station. The staff are friendly and welcoming.
West view is a very modern, beautiful apartment. The en-suit I live in has a lot of space! The couch and TV are great! The only downside is that the carpet is hard to clean and the refrigerator is too small and the heat is not hot enough.
This student apartment is really popular among glasgow students. lt’s close to two large supermarket, and around 13 minutes walk to the campus. The most surprised thing is the price for each week is reasonable.
Overall a great student house, close to the school, surrounded by supermarkets such as LIDL and Morrisons, and less than five minutes from the tube or train.
Excellent experience I have ever lived!
I love it here!!!! I wish I could stay longer but I am graduating this year, I wish the West View would let me stay forever :(
I have told many friends about the accommodation, I have stayed here for 2 years and I can’t think of anywhere better to stay!
Enjoy my time staying here and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
This is the best accommodation in Glasgow, staff are super friendly and the location is really convenient. I really recommend it.
I wish the heating in the apartment is warmer, and the Wi-Fi is really bad sometimes
Convenient location, close to the supermarket, the tube station and the school, nice staff
I have been living here at the West View for more than two years now, and I can tell that you cannot find any other accommodation has a better value thanks this. All facilities here are modern and new, meanwhile, the 1 Gbps wired internet connection might be the one and only you can find in Glasgow. Furthermore, the reception team is taking the living experience to another level, they are supportive, considerate and with a good sense of humour.
it is convenient for us to get the UofG, and two big supermarkets around West View , the reception stuff are very kind and nice 👍🏼
The apartment is clean and cleaned regularly. Any problems will be solved promptly .The reception was very talkative and very friendly to me.
The location of the apartment was very convenient and the subway station was very close. The reception staff was friendly. The only fly in the ointment was that the wireless network was a little slow and the apartment cleaning staff often forgot to clean our ensuite on the first floor, hoping to improve in the future. In the future, I will recommend my friends to stay there. The experience is very good.
The location of the apartment is very advantageous, living apartment and transportation are very convenient. In addition, the apartment will often hold some activities to enrich the residents' life to the greatest extent. The apartment staff was very helpful to us. I especially like the design of the room is that the bed is near the window. It is very comfortable to open the curtain and see the scenery outside every day when I wake up. There may be some shortages because of some protective measures so the heating supply is not very adequate. But overall, cost performance is still very high!
I really like West View , the staff are very nice and room is quite big. And I would definitely recommend it to everyone
Got to say it is the best choice since it is so convince, two supermarkets within 5mins walk. Love it! 💕💕 The place runs out quickly last year and it is so lucky for I to got a place. I lived in a studio facing the river, the view is so great for higher levels. But there's some noise from trains, if you open the window. Anyway, the staff I met are so kind and willing to help. Definitely recommend to every uofg student. Wish I can stay here for longer, so sad it doesn't have a lease which can last to January, 2022😭.
very convenient for students to buy goods, it is near Morrison and Lidl, the view is amazing if you live on the high floor. Staffs here are very friendly and nice, always smile and help in time. The common room is a very good place for gathering.
At west view accommodation, very nice room, amenities . Also the staff are always friendly present and helpful all the time . Great central location as well which makes commuting easy.
The beautiful view outside the window in bedroom can make me delightful and relaxed. Then the shared kitchen and living room is functional, useful and I think it is good.
West view is just like its name. Everyone who lives here can see great scenery from the window! Sometimes the sunset in Glasgow is purple, sometimes pink. If you are lucky enough to live in a room with a higher floor, you will enjoy the luxury scenery for a whole year. Moreover, the corridor space is very large, and the layout of the interior of the room is reasonable. From the perspective of service, the service of reception is very helpful to students. As long as there is a need, you can go to reception for help. They will help you deal with problems. From a geographical point of view, west view is close to particle railway station, and it is also very close to lidl and Morrisons. Overall, it was a great apartment and I had a great time here.
The 6 rooms ensuite is real good. The space of kitchen is enough to have a dinner together. The service of reception is kind and friend. The location is amazing, which is so comfortable to Morrisons!
Most cost-effective choice for the Students of UofG. Compared with other choice, West view has the competitive advantage of the location(near The lidl and morrison),room(larger than west village, dm and ts)and service.
Room125 Have fun activities often. Very quiet and comfortable living experience. I think Westview is the most cost-effective apartment. In addition, I found that the billiard cue was damaged. It would be better if the apartment could provide new billiard equipment
West View is a wonderful place that the location is near by the market, subway and trainline. i live in the ensuit and the room is lovely, and the space is satisfactory. I could say west view is the best accomdation in glasgow.
good position with two big supermarkets to meet your needs.friendly staff are always willing to offer some help.big and fancy common room where you can spend lots of time there with your friends.
This building is located to West End, which is a prosperous area. There're only 200-300m to Morission and Lido for shopping, and 400m to the train/subway station, also with many other shops here, like restaurant. most of items for daily life is available. And the accommodation is about 15 minutes for arriving to GU, that's very convenient. As for the facilities about West View, the staff is friendly and daily needs that provided is enough, such as parcel collection and repairing. In the en-suite room, the window is a little bit big and near the bed so as to have a better lighting.
My experiences west view was good, a lot of spacious places to study or to have fun. I’d recommend it for you if you’re a student . It is on a good place , you have literally everything around , like Lidl and Morrison’s as well as pharmacies around you .
Living here for half a year, the staff is very friendly, warm, and responsible. The room facilities are all good, only a little bad is the fire alarm is too easy to break, always false alarm. I really enjoyed living in Westview~
The place is a pretty good choice to take if you are one of the students in UofG. Not far from school, it takes 10 mins to get to the library, and if you are a little bit tired of walking this long, the common room and study room is right upstairs of the apartment, which is absolutely convenient for students.
It's such a great apartment where you can wake up every morning and open the curtains and see the beautiful river outside. The facilities of the apartment are very perfect and the service is very considerate. In addition, the location of the apartment is excellent, close to the station, supermarkets and commercial areas. Most importantly, it's close to the university
I love the life living in west view soooooo much. With the perfect location and adequate service, it couldn’t be better than everywhere else.
The room is large and tidy. The windows are also large and you can see the scenery outside. The reception is also very nice and can help collect parcels.
I must say I love the west view. First of all, the reception was very nice, helped me carry my luggage on my first day here, and gave me detailed information about the public space in Westview. I remember my luggage was lost. I was worried that I could not understand DHL when I called. The lady at the reception was very patient to help me make the call. I was so touched. Secondly, I like the environment of the west view, especially the window in the room, I can see the beautiful sunset and the surrounding environment. Third, we often do fire drills, which is also a way to protect ourselves and make us deal with all kinds of emergencies in time.
I've learned about the surrounding apartments, and finally chose West view, which proved to be right
West view is the most cost-effective apartment I have lived in, the apartment reception are very enthusiastic to solve the problem every time. Love! Auntie cleaners are very nice. and polite. Love you guys so polite!
Overall great experience. Staff is really helpful and kind. If you ever have an issue, they're a text away and always happy to help. The flat itself was extremely clean and taken care of when I arrived and the weekly cleaning is extremely helpful as busy students. Only issue we've ever had was the WiFi being turned off for a few hours, though that wasn't West View's fault! The only complaint I would give is, please let the students know when you are testing out the fire alarm! Sadly due to COVID it was difficult to find people from others flats to interact with, but the staff organized different events to always keep us motivated. Always participated with flatmates. Best part of my experience was definitely the flatmates. They were amazing and I've met people who definitely made my year 100% better! Even the people who were busy with exams and who had a more difficult schedule were always super friendly and up for a chat. Again, overall experience was amazing, would 100% repeat.
Reception has a very good service attitude and often organizes activities to get the residents involved. The location is great for both public transport and the supermarket, but sometimes the staff will come in when you're not in the room, which is the only thing that makes me unhappy,Only once in half a year, three weeks after I had applied for repair, did someone come to fix my broken things while I was away
From the first day I moved in I felt so lucky to have found such a great accommodation for my year of study. The staff here are very friendly and have provided us with excellent service. The surrounding area is very convenient, especially during the epidemic. I was most pleased with the rooms, which were very new and upscale. I highly recommend this place to anyone coming to Glasgow to study. You won't be disappointed!
Overall, a very nice place to live. With covid the opportunities to use the cinema room, pool table, gym and ping pong table have been less frequent, and there haven't been opportunities for social activities, but in more normal times you can't complain. Having a laundry room ran by circuit laundry does mean you pay a bit more on average for a load, but there are plenty of machines available. Otherwise, the Internet is very fast and reliable, the staff friendly and helpful, and the location great for shopping and transport.
Poor management team, rude and irresponsible
Cleaning condition is very satisfying. You can see the staffs doing cleaning every morning. You can find an amazing cinema system in the common area, which includes a 4K television. Laundry is big enough and I can always find available machines. The request on maintenance can be dealt within 2-3 working days. Most importantly, the price is not very high.
staff are friendly and enthusiastic about helping us. They always wears smile and are polite.
The location of West View is pretty good, very close to Morrisons which is one of popular supermarket in Glasgow. But I really need a bigger gym :)
Compared to other apartments in Glasgow, westview has the best overall quality. My room type is studio, it is large and comfortable. Staff are kind and professional. From August last year to now, my experience is quite good. The only problem is the heating. Now the weather in Glasgow is very cold, but the heating is not always available. Heating time is very garbage.Sometimes I wake up at night when I am sleeping. Hope it will be improved.
Spacious rooms equipped with everything you need to live a quiet student life and study effectively. There is one social space which is usually taken up with the same people and is not suitable if you want to sit and study as it is noisy. The study room itself is usually full and people do not move their stuff to let you have a seat. The social scene is excellent if you are of a certain ethnic background; if not, you will feel very very isolated. Repairs are frequently carried out on doors with no explanation as to what’s wrong with the door, which makes for very uncomfortable situations with workers needing access to your room. The things that you request do need repaired never get done ie water pipes leaking and television channels not working. Security has become poor and quite unfriendly; I feel like anyone could walk into the building unnoticed.
As a student, it is valued to choose this apartment for your stay in Glasgow.Perfect location, very close to Partick railway and subway station, bus stances and supermarkets as well. Also, it is not far from the University of Glasgow.
Near many supermarkets, 15 mins from University of Glasgow and nice enviroment.
Staff here are very friendly, and the environment is very clean. Once problems have been reported, they will be sorted very soon. Especially the reception are really nice. Strongly recommend
New building which is very modern and very well kept. The staff are great and listening to the needs of students and trying their best to do interesting events and engaging as much as possible. great links to the uni and city centre
i have really enjoyed my time here and made lots of friends there are always events on
Staff are always happy to help
The heating is not good as I living in 9th is very cold. And I usually lost my parcels as the reception said they could not found and I have to make phone call to west village by myself.Social area is quite small. However I love my room!It is worthy than vita.hahaha
The rooms and staff are really excellent. The whole building feels really new and has a good atmosphere. I'm enjoying this year but gutted I couldn't re-book for next year. Prices went up much higher than they were this year :(
Pauline is so lovely! She makes our whole flat smile :)
The rooms at west view are really good, lots of space and very modern compared to my last accommodation. Staff are nice, they're really good about letting your friends visit and use the common room.
Staff are great, they really listen to your suggestions and make changes. They've bought us new equipment and set up events we asked for. I definitely recommend living here!
Staff are so friendly and helpful. It’s a bit pricey but such a nice new building. :)
West View is brand new and really modern! Staff are great and the common room is amazing. Can't wait to stay here next year :)
I love my flat at West View. Really modern and good size. Staff are really nice, they really helped me when I had problems with my heater. Would recommend it to anyone.
I've really loved my stay with West View. It's brand new so the flats are all really good quality and the common room has loads of facilities. Staff are amazing (especially Caroline on reception!), really friendly and helpful. Looking forward to staying again next year :)
Great space, ensuites as a standard, and good deal space and WiFi!
