Slateford Road is a very nice, modren and quiet residence (compared to buildings meant mainly gor 1st years). There are many events and activities organised by Reslife and Resident Assistants and Security to support students outside of the office hours.
Covid-19: Students that decided to leave could terminate their contract earlier.

I would not reccommend this hall, or at least not to postgrads. The bedrooms and bathrooms are okay, but we've had massive issues with our fuses (which was not resolved until many months after we first alerted about the issue), the WiFi tends so come and go, there are no big spaces for residents to get together, only the "common room" in the flat (which looks like a casting suite for a porn). You pay for laundry, given that you don't have massive issues with the app or machines (like a lot of people have) and there's always some reason for the accommodation to send someone into your room (contractor, someone for some reason changing a clean, functioning shower head or to check whatever). I would now have moved in had I known it would be like this. I had some issues with my room that needed resolving, but I got no help. I would urge postgrad especially to look for private accommodation as you'd 100% get more value for your money. It is in no way worth £700 + a month.
The only real problem is the sheer amount of false fire alarms but thats because the 1st years are having parties 24/7. Otherwise its great for transport due to close by bus stations. Not sure about parking
