Night staff are brill! Tyler is a great help when you need it. Definitely recommend going to him if you have a problem wether that’s a maintenance issue or something else.

I have thoroughly enjoyed staying at Tramways during my first year in Chester. I am a Hammond student and I feel as if the size and accommodations of a Tramways room is perfect for me to practice the dance I need to do, something I couldn’t find in any other halls. The staff are so so lovely and friendly; a special shout out to Paul who is the greatest member of staff, he will make sure you have everything sorted.

As a first year student, staying at Tramways has been incredibly beneficial. For location, it’s so close to town and to my campus (Queen’s Park). It is the safest and cleanest accommodation I’ve visited. Most importantly I have met my closest mates here due to Tramways, therefore I am always grateful. The staff are always welcoming and helpful which makes living here so special.

Best place to live! Enjoying my time here, my second year here and enjoyed it the first year so decided to stay here again. Also booked again for 3rd year as I enjoy it and feel safe here especially with my epilepsy. Paul is amazing as well! Makes the best hot chocolate and always free for a chat and makes the nights so much better when you feel down as well. Such friendly staff and always on hand to help!

My time at tramways so far has been a very enjoyable experience. For the very reasonable price, my room is more than suitable, my bathroom is great, and my kitchen has everything I need. The biggest plus to staying here is that the prices are fixed, and very good considering the cost of living crisis. Would highly recommend.

This is currently my 2nd year here and i have already booked my third year here. The welcoming I got on my first day was exquisite, the staff were very welcoming and very kind I already felt at home. Once I settled in, everything felt normal. I am very friendly with the night Staff, the night Staff that will have a game of pool with you, Have a great conversation with you makes my nights where I may struggle to sleep a lot easier. The managers and myself have a great friendship. Every time I pop into reception, I could have a nice chat and that will make my day. In my first year, there was an incident where I had accidentally flooded my kitchen, this caused me to be very worried and anxious about having to pay a large sum of money. However, after speaking with the staff at Tranways, they had eased my anxiousness and made sure help me and in the end I didn’t have to pay a penny. Thank you Darren/Alison/Paul/Jav and the rest of the team.

Tramways has been a really nice place to stay as a first year so much so I am staying here for a second year . Met some lifelong friends, constantly felt safe here. Staff helpful and friendly. Darren is amazing. Package system is really good.

Everyone at the front desk is really helpful, making Tramways a truly excellent place to live. In particular, Mr. Paul is the best; he is like a member of the family. I still recall the day I arrived in the UK carrying Covid . In regards to any issue, he was always there to assist me. I am so grateful.

I have been very happy with my stay here, which is why I will be staying here again for my 2nd year. The staff are all lovely and accommodating. Any issue my flat and I have had, it gets sorted fairly quickly. It’s very close to any amenities, so great for a night out haha. Would recommend tramways 100%

Where do I start! Tramways has been insane, the staff are the nicest people, the communal room is brill and gives students an opportunity to meet new people etc, everyone is so welcoming, always there when you need them and a great laugh, I highly recommend to anyone to go to tramways!

Great place to stay whilst studying at Chester uni. Loved being able to have the experience of sharing a student flat, without having to rent a student house. I switched from renting a student house, to here in my last year and the whole experience was better. Cleaner, staff on site at all times (didn't have to wait 2 weeks for the landlord to finally come to the house to sort something) and the biggest thing for me was having my own bathroom. Location is a little further away from the main campus, but it's fab for the train station and the city centre. Social space lacked a bit when I first moved in but they seem to have really worked on it recently so it's a lot nicer. Even through covid, tramways felt like our own town. So that helped with lockdown a lot, I felt really lucky to feel so supported by the staff and the little tramways community.

Tramways is a nice accommodation however I do think for the value for money more could be done with the kitchens.

Tramways would be a whole hearted recommendation to anyone considering booking student accommodation in Chester. The space is lovely and the staff in reception will help with any situation no matter how silly it may be. Especially Amy who gave me a cream egg to write this review.
Tramways is brilliant Accomodation! It’s right next to the train station, a short 15 minute walk from town, and. 20 minute walk from Kingsway Creative Campus (UOC) The staff at Chester are always on call, and are so helpful and friendly. They always put on events that cater to everyone, from pop quiz’s to health and well being events!
Tramways is a lovely environment and the bedroom space even in a bronze is fab! The social space is ok but isn’t used by students as well as it could be. The location is great and well secure with gates and perfect distance for town and campus. The staff are very friendly and always there to help!

Great location, wasn’t spotless when I first arrived, however the WiFi is strong with nice facilities and cooperative/friendly reception staff. Accommodation is new and modern, slightly pricy but great all round.

Since moving here in September I have felt at home and safe which has made my uni experience much more enjoyable. The staff are lovely and helpful with any issues or problems that I have!
All of the staff are really friendly and care a lot about the residents that live here. Kitchens can often be left untidy due to residents but is no fault of tramways but is something to be aware of. Rooms are small for what you pay but do the job. Definitely one of the better student properties and very high quality for the price point. Very modern, friends have called it a miniature village haha.

Good experience living with friends and security is 24 hour so I always feel safe
M- reduced contracts (£99 pw) 2 weeks into the tenancy to fill rooms - despite many remaining empty - which nobody was aware of prior L- Perfect for train as it is across the road, 15 minute walk to Queens campus, 20 (uphill) to the parkgate, fair distance from the town (shops, clubs) H- brilliant staff, chatty, answer questions, security 24/7. Accommodated 3 of us to move, flat suiting our interests 10/10 C- social space and halls are good, stairs not They don't make regular inspections, bad conditions left. S- games, vending machines, free pool table, football table, lounge area with TV, event nights, freebies often. I- internet is poor. No parking, no TV, no kettle! no brushes or mops to hire Modern, lots of privacy for 1st year, secure for peace of mind.
Tramways is an ideal student accommodation with shops and the train station within walking distance. The staff on site are accommodating and friendly and always assist with any problems. The room itself is good value for money with lots of storage and the communal areas are always clean. I have had an amazing student experience here, and I would highly recommend Tramways to all students in all years!
