Small, smelly mouldy rooms, nowhere to hand your towel, tiny bathroom. 1 kitchenette with mini bar size fridge for 12 people, nowhere to socialize. Daylight robbery read more

Hi there,
We're sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your stay in Faraday. We always suggest that any maintenence issues, such as mould, be reported to the hall reception immediately so that it can be addressed.
Catered halls typically have smaller kitchens, due to students being provided 15 meals a week and not needing to use it as regularly as self-catered students. The dining halls also serve as an excellent space to socialise with other students, as well as each hall having dedicated common rooms.
Thank you for your review, we hope this provides some clarification for you - Lucy
Quality of life whilst living there was great, everything you need in terms of general living was provided really well, always felt safe and was a good size. Wouldn't really of wanted to be anywhere else. However the only downside I would say is that the common room was pretty poor compared to others though, needed a serious revamp or at least to be kept more clean as its the only real social space aside from the dining hall. read more

We're so happy that you had a positive experience in this hall, and that it provided everything you needed. It's also great to hear that you felt safe on the campus.
Sorry to hear that the common room didn't meet your expectations - We will forward your feedback on to the hall management team. The dining room is a fantastic place to connect with other students, and the students union is another nice socialising space.
Thank you for your review - Lucy

Hello and thank you for your question. Faraday has the biggest range of room types in all of our halls, including a range of ensuite options.
For ensuite options, there are 114 bedrooms with single beds, and 51 bedrooms with 4ft beds, the size of a small double bed.
For our shared ensuite option, where two bedrooms share a separate bathroom, there are 4 bedrooms with single beds, and 20 rooms available with 4ft beds, which is the size of a small double bed.
On our Faraday hall webpage, you can check out the full range of room options under the ‘occupancy and costs’ tab. Unless a room type specifies that it has a 4ft bed (small double bed), then it will be a single bed.
