Although not being able to have the full experience in my second year, Kingston was amazing first year and i wish I had taken up more opportunities they offered and been more involved. Facilities are amazing with a 5 story library! I am studying fine art and art history, we have our own studios to paint in along the riverside which are gorgeous. The university has been really good at keep students informed and offering support over the pandemic

Good campuses, especially the library. Penrhyn Road and knights park are only a short distance from each other and the lecture theatres are nice.
Top university with helpful lectures and happy with the experience
Good support and communication, good lab facilities.
good courses and good lecturers
Library is excellent. Have to say food on campus is way too expensive for what it is.
Good university with good facilities
Anyone giving this place a five stars is a decendant of the devil and a liar. Teaching is poor, support is poor, I suspect non of the staff (excluding KU CARES) are training in safeguarding or care about their students. The psychology department run by Sabira is pathetic. Trained psychologists with PHDs will ask disabled students things like " why can't you do it if others can" quoted from Dr Aiman Asman (take the Dr title lightly) Since I've been here I've had my disabilities laughed at, my difficulties swept under the rug and experienced more academic misconduct than I could EVER had imagined. I've been here 3 years and my osis account has had incorrect term dates the whole time, therefore the council tax company are trying to charge me some serious £'s. All in all I think the country would be better off if this uni was removed from the face of the earth and replaced with a McDonald's.
Kingston University is a great university. I learnt a lot during my studies here. I believe Kingston University adapted poorly to online learning, a lot of exams were converted to coursework, some of which took lots more effort than others for the same mark.
Good uni, I wnjoyed my time there
Very good university and decent wifi.
not bad but covid has meant cannot use anything or talk to anyone, is just a name. “oh I go to kingston university”, nothing else
I was quite happy doing my master's at Kingston University.
The University is perfect. Teachers are very nice.
I didn’t have the chance to be on campus much due to covid, however, the library and the laboratories were very good.
Overall experience has been poor for my first year. Kingston did not prepare well for online teaching and many students have been left to teach themselves. I assume standards will improve when we return to campus for the 2021/22 year.
Covid has prevented the ability to use most facilities.

Most of the service is very good, but Occasionally the electronic power goes off while cooking.
everything is good, i am not so should about the clubs and societies because i have not been to the club before
Not bad from what I’ve heard so far, but I think the students union needs to be worked on
A welcoming university with everything close by and in a quieter area
The university is so good for study
I go to Kingston School of Art and I really enjoy my time here. I have been to a few social/club events before the pandemic and they were great fun. The tutors are very accommodating and the staff is friendly. I havent been able to participate in the wider scheme of Kingston University due to the pandemic which is why I gave fewer stars in these area.
Good university. Campus is nice. Lot of study space.
haven’t been able to go in much because of lockdown but very clean campus and a seemingly active student union. internet can be slow but it’s pretty good overall.
Great place study. Haven't been able to be on campus cause of covid, they should have lowered the fee because of covid as it was all online and we haven't gotten any real opportunities. Please understand the position of students as well.
Internet is very fast I think. however other than that I don’t think the communication with students is the best.
An unsatisfactory experience. I could not recommend this.
Great university! Great team and environment
It is a good university with huge diversity of people
Amazing and creative workshops ,studios have high quality facilities, especially in the Riverhouse.
Good support systems during a difficult time
Incredible facilities to study and learn in.
Kingston University... Being Very close to town and the university library. Daksh is very supportive of students and let's us study in the common room. To improve it I would recommend having more ventilation in the rooms
I feel like the students could be more supported
Teaching is good, students are nice, the accommodation needs more double beds.
Good experience studying in Kingston. Learned so much with my teachers and classmates.
This university is simply not good enough
They do not support students if needed
Teaching is good, campus is nice, staff are friendly...
Generic emails sent from this university
The communication from administration/management at this university is not good enough. I think it’s just generic copy and paste emails.
Personally I didn’t enjoy it much here, partly because of the location is congested
I think the university as a whole is good. But how they dealt with me personally is just not good enough. But I do feel that might not apply to everyone as it was a bursary thing mistake
Bangin school staff amazing so incredibly supportivr
good uni just not been the best during the pandemic
Kingston University did not grant any refund to me when I found out their classes are only 2 days a week and house facilities are so poor that to deal with drainage, I had to resort to measures myself especially during the lockdown with zero access to any tools. My mental health crashed during the 4 months I was indoors and the university did not compensate a penny to me despite asking nicely a hundred times since during the time, my father also lost his job. I’m no millionaire, Kingston University. Besides the one instructor I had, Richard, everyone else was way below subpar in communication which is why when I asked for a refund of at least 50%, they said I had passed my deadline for asking for a refund. This university only takes your money and doesn’t give you any quick response. They asked me to produce industry-level standard from projects when they should have mentioned that prior to accepting my enrollment. This university is nothing but a scam to those seeking placement.
Decent uni however slow to respond to emails
Very good university, with campuses very developed to students needs. Multiple libraries, labs and various facilities to ensure the students get the most out of their learning. Free uni buses available which make travelling cheaper and easier. Staff easy to contact and very helpful.
Excellent university lots of support from tutors.
Tutor from first year was very unprofessional and have ripped someone’s work from the wall. That’s not how you do crits. She was also unfriendly towards international students as well.
It’s a good school . Everybody is friendly .
Kingston uni is great, best teaching staff
Don't do teacher training-sinister bullying culture. Check out the drop out rate before you apply!

I love the atmosphere and education at Kingston University. I have studied 4 years (BA Architecture) and returned to do my part 2 (MA Architecture), which is sadly coming to an end now. I shall return back for a final year in order to complete my part 3 and become an Architect!
Have had a great time studying here last 3 years, great library and tutors
Kingston university was a great experience and great course and staff
Great university, I studies my BA here and loved it so much I stayed here to do my MA. Easy to get between campuses and halls of residence with the university bus system, however the halls of residences are a bit far if you have to walk in bad weather. Lecturers are knowledgeable and find creative ways to deliver lectures. The construction on site can be annoying, but should be finished soon. Cafés on site are plenty and great for grabbing food or a drink between classes. The Kingston Language scheme is amazing for those who want to learn another language, and there are plenty of opportunities to join clubs, society, to volunteer and for student jobs. Felt well supported, even during this covid pandemic.
Fantastic campus, fantastic tutors and course.
Fantastic campus, fantastic tutors and course.
great university, good resources, library fantastic, great SU.
I chose to do my MA in Music Education in Kingston and I couldn't be more disappointed. The practice rooms are completely forgotten with old pianos and no heating. From all the professors we have, only one was really trying, the rest dont care, dont explain and always leave us with questions. One professor alone though, can't handle this whole master. The courses are completely unorganised, not providing any new knowledge, you have to do all the work alone and professors dont explain exactly what they need in the assignments. They leave everything for last minute -group projects, volunteering programms to get experience etc- which makes everyone frustrated. Also, they don't give you a QTS which with only this you can teach music in a school. So what's the point of having a music education's master and not being able to work as a teacher? I wish I knew these before, I feel like I wasted my money. I wish I knew all these before hand
Best teacher, friendly and helpful. Good environment.
MA Museums and Galleries: Save yourself... move on.. cancel this university from your list.... save your money and youth on something other great universities in London or elsewhere. We have to work with dead/small/unknown museums( no galleries at all) in areas we have to travel a lot (i.e extra expenses). Courses are very new and unorganised, doesn't make you employable. Facilities are out of date ( the uni is trying to be sexy with the new townhouse using their international students' money when they should really spend that money to get there timetable correct, or get someone to answer their students' quires instead of directing you all around without answering a single question).
harsh truth!!! A place where Indian students with fake work experience and failed degree can get admission. As there is no much scrutiny.
Once the new building is complete I will review
Kingston university has an excellent location, great diversity, staff are close and friendly, other than that they have good facilities, overall, the university is expanding a developing. If I went back in time I will not choose any other university
Do not do teaching training it is a nightmare!
A bit small, and 90% indoor however they’re almost finished with a new building which will have updated facilities.
Excellent teaching staff, admirable curriculum and campus environment. Academic Quality is soaring up as the spirit of the university is encouraging and achieving.
I would not recommend this university to my greatest enemy. As an MS sufferer, female and black individual, I truly could not have asked for a worse university. It is with my deepest regret that I selected this university. For going on two years now I have been used as a slave by over a dozen schools, doing all the marking, all the planning, friendly to everyone and every child just to be told on the very last day that I have failed, or that after teaching 3 lessons, the students have not progressed. Biggest mistake of my life.
Kingston Uni is incredibly out of date in multiple ways. The facilities are poor, the lecturers/support services are poor, the accommodation is poor. Shockingly enough I left as soon as I could. Avoid.
I was only there as a post grad for a year so had less exposure to SU and socieites, but staff were very friendly and helpful also willing to go the extra mile when a deadline is looming. Library at my campus was superb though a little remote but they had free parking for students available.
Met some amazing people and loved Kingston
It's really great and the staff members are helpful.
Kingston Uni is ok. There doesn't seem to be many societies compared to other unis though
I did a BA honours in Graphic Design and I would not recommend this university at all. The tutors obviously have favourites and unless you are one of them or unless you are caucasian you are very likely to receive a low final grade, even if your work is exceptional. How they managed to get away with this is beyond me but lucky you find work based on your portfolio and not your grade for graphic design. The building and facilities are very outdated, and there is hardly ever any space in the studio to work, even if there is it is very crammed and noisy and awkward. There are hardly any lectured for this course, you go in maybe once a week to see your tutor and all they give you is advice. They do not teach you any new skills, they expect you to already know it all. So basically you are paying 9k a year for opinion on your work.
Good uni, very friendly students and staff.
I would not recommend this university for engineering to anyone. The university is unorganized as the lessons keep changing (sometimes 10 mins just before we are suppose to have the lessons) The campus has very small library with approximately ~12 computer in there The tutorial can sometimes be a waste of time as the teacher sometimes does not appear and if they do, they will just give question paper and tell you do just do it as they will just show us the awnser paper at the end
Best location , Understanding staff. If only more funding went to research we would be top 10.
Everything is very good, highly recommended
Very good uni with good people, good facilities, many job opportunities. Nice town and close to london
Good uni, good people, nice facilities, many job opportunities. The town is nice and very close to London!
Pleasant university, nice diversity
i love my uni, i got an Opportunity to be iinvolved in sparks programme now which is great!!!
best night life, best students, best lectures best everything!
Appalling university. Not a care in the world about supporting hard working students. The general acceptance is of students who are using degrees to laze about until they have to work. Those of us who are committed really suffer in class as a result. You complain to various sources and are simply told that they know but there's nothing they can do about it.
The University itself is pretty poor, its teaching staff have little interest in its students and the facilities such as the computer rooms and canteens are far too small and forever crowded. The main focus of their marketing is the Penrhyn Road Campus, leaving Knights Park forgotten, which is probably why that campus is in such poor condition and forever cold in winter.
Poor Nightlife, useless modules in courses
Knights Park where all the art subjects are based is fantastic. Brilliant facilities for creating work, although the canteen and bar could be bigger and cheaper. Unfortunatly the University places its focus on its main campus Penryhn Road which seems to leave Knights Park at the bottom of the pile. Some Knights Park courses have an amazing reputation but the University does not boast about this, meaning they're hidden by a fairly average University. In an idea world, Knights Park will one day become and independent Art School (which rumours suggest will happen in the next few years)
kingston is really good for certain courses. Just a shame the actual place is boring!
