Top 20 Russell Group is a very good university with top notch facilities and plenty of clubs and societies to join!
Its a good university, there was a strike so some teachers were missing from tutorials or lectures
IQ steel is great, the staff is really friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the location is great, especially if you’re a student at the uni of Sheffield. It’s so amazing!!! The surveys are great they give me money every year, I spend the cashback in one month. Their social spaces are really nice and it has a lovely atmosphere. I feel safe and secure since the security is always here. Access to facilities are always nice.
I like my university because it’s where I’ve grown the most as a person, not just academically. Coming here pushed me out of my comfort zone in ways I didn’t expect. Between balancing lectures, labs, deadlines, and everything outside of uni life, I’ve had to become more independent, disciplined, and confident in myself. It hasn’t always been easy, but that’s honestly what’s made it worth it. I also really enjoy my degree because it constantly reminds me why I chose science in the first place. It’s challenging and sometimes overwhelming, but learning how things actually work in the human body and seeing that knowledge connect across modules makes it feel meaningful rather than just theoretical. What I appreciate most is that my degree doesn’t just teach content, it teaches problem-solving, critical thinking, and how to handle pressure, which are skills I know I’ll carry with me long after uni and shaped who I am now, and I’m genuinely proud of the progress I’ve made here.

My university experience has been rewarding and helped me grow both academically and personally. The lecturers are supportive, the course is practical and engaging, and although the workload can be challenging, it has made me more organised and independent. I’ve also met great people, which made the journey even better. Overall, it’s been a valuable and positive experience.

Really like the curriculum so far in mechanical engineering. The diamond and the labs inside are exceptional and the campus is generally nice. The clubs and societies are varied and high worth your time.

Sheffield has a lot great resources and facilities available for free! The Student Union always has something going!
This accommodation generally offers good facilities and I would recommend it. The staff are very kind and helpful. For example, requests like replacing the microwave were handled very quickly. However, the sofas in the kitchen were old and unusable, and despite several follow-ups they were never replaced. With a bit more attention to the cleanliness of the common areas, the experience would be much better. They also offer nice group activities and good recreational facilities.

Studying at the University of Sheffield has been an amazing experience for me, there's so much to see and do and experience. Even though I'm half way through my course, I still feel like there's so much I haven't seen or done yet. I've met great people as well, and the lab facilities are great now that I've learnt how to use them. Overall, a great experience and would highly rank it.

Sensational university and campus
Studying at the University of Sheffield has been an amazing mix of academics, social life, and city living. My lecturers are supportive, and the facilities — especially places like the Diamond and the Information Commons — make studying feel productive and modern. I love that the campus blends into the city, so everything I need is just a short walk away. Sheffield itself feels very student-friendly and affordable, and there’s so much green space. When I want a break from uni, the Peak District is right around the corner for hikes and fresh air. Living in the student villages like Endcliffe or Ranmoor is really social. I’ve met people from all around the world through societies, sports, and events run by the Students’ Union — which honestly deserves its reputation as one of the best in the UK. Career support has been helpful too. There are plenty of workshops, placement opportunities, and guidance to prepare for the future. Overall, my experience has been friendly, exciting, and fu

I have loved Sheffield so far, its a great uni in a great city with so many opportunities for nights out, societies to join etc. There's lots of support available and its really easy to use things like the uni website and your timetable and learning resources. The libraries at the uni are also great too!

Everything is very good about studying in Sheffield
1. The apartment is newly built, with all facilities brand new and very safe. There are security guards on duty 24 hours at the entrance. 2. There is a buzzing sound from the water pipes in the middle of the night sometimes, which can be uncomfortable.

The university experience has been great so far, the lecture rooms and facilities are outstanding. Everything considered, compared to my previous university before transferring, the University of Sheffield is on a whole other planet.

Studying at the University of Sheffield has been an amazing experience for me. The facilities are great, making it easy to focus on my studies and get involved in campus life. I love that there are so many beautiful places nearby to walk and relax, like Weston Park, it’s the perfect escape when I need a break from work. Plus, the nightlife in Sheffield is vibrant and fun, offering plenty of options to unwind and socialize after a busy day. All in all, it’s a great balance between great learning environments and an exciting social scene.

I’m really enjoying my time at the University of Sheffield and I love the Wave, which is the building I study in the most. The Students Union is also amazing and I enjoy playing with the Women’s Rugby Team.

Lots of societies to get involved in
As an engineering student, this university offers everything I require. The engineering facilities are awesome because they're modern and spacious. The lecturers are friendly and the clubs/societies are really exciting. I've had a great 4 years studying here so far!
I love the university and all the services it provides, from the fair to the events at night. The location is perfect as it's close to libraries and different parks, and such lovely family-owned businesses. The lecturers and academic tutors are so kind and helpful, and the lessons are structured so well. We are constantly provided with help.
The service at the apartment is so heartwarming! The front desk staff are all very nice! They respond to feedback immediately, and the public areas are cleaned spotlessly every day. They also proactively help with parcel collection, showing thoughtfulness in every detail. It's a very reassuring and worry-free place to live.

It’s a great university. I’m currently doing my MSc here and the vibes are awesome! It has a lot of space on campus for working, with an amazing Students Union for Lunch - and with constant activities on campus. The lecture theatres themselves have character to them and are perfect sizes!
Really good Su and they have lots of facilities and offer help with jobs and careers. Wifi isn’t the best though- can be unreliable especially on laptops
Job assistance could be much better, as well as mental health support. Job and internship applications are only really applicable for second and third years, there’s very little which is appropriate for freshers
Clubs and societies could host more inclusive events.
I love living at the accommodation. The staff are wonderful and very accommodating. I’d definitely recommend this place to all of my friends.

As a international student this is best university i could choose for msc aerospace engineering
Everything is easily navigatable, lecturers are high calibre and explain things easily. The food is also spectacular, offering a wide range in its cafes and vendors from cake to sausage rolls.
