As an international student
As an international student, I was nervous about moving to the UK, but the University of Leicester made me feel welcome from day one. Everyone is treated equally, regardless of their background, which helped me settle in quickly. The lecturers are friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to help. The labs are well organised and give us valuable practical experience alongside our lectures. My faculty and academic mentors have been supportive whenever I needed help with assignments or coursework. The Students’ Union organises great events, cultural activities, and workshops, making it easy to meet new people and feel part of the community. They also provide excellent support for international students. The library is one of my favourite places on campus because it’s peaceful, comfortable, and perfect for studying. Overall, I’ve had a positive experience and would definitely recommend the University of Leicester to anyone looking for a supportive and welcoming university.
