drying machines haven’t worked for months. staff never even bothered to notify Circuit. I was informed that they were unaware that we had any issue until I contacted them myself. My heating did not get fixed for weeks in the month of december, despite filing numerous claims. Contractors come into your room often to fix who knows what leaving a mess behind. I’ve made formal complaints which have been ignored by the staff, and when addressed at the front desk no one knows how to resolve anything. The rent they charge is exorbitant, which is funny, as the most basic amenities don’t work.

terrible student accommodation. avoid at all costs
Fire alarms go off constantly and aren't fixed, takes months for maintenance issues to be solved. But location is great for going into uni
I stayed in iQ Student accomodation from September 2022 to August 2023. Below is my feedback Pros: 1. Located in Central London with easy access to Barbican and Oldstreet tube stations 2. The Ensuite Flats are an affordable option, you might not find the cheap rates anywhere close. 3. A host of shops - Tesco, Aldi, Co-op, Superdrug and even the clerkenwell GP is nearby. Cons: 1. The staff keeps changing and the night staff is not trained to correct the fire-alarm situation. 2. The common kitchens are not cleaned, and it is upto the students sharing the space to manage. The instructions mention that weekly cleaning is done but it never happened. 3. They can come to your rooms anytime as they want and please. 4. The property is not managed properly. 5. Anyone can enter the property. 6. The washing machine and dryer also break down frequently. Look at the reviews, almost everyone would comment on the Fire-alarm situation which is bad and mentally disturbs the person. I gave 1 star only
Just before the Christmas break, the refuse point got so full of rubbish it overflowed into the corridor and all the way through the corridor. The fire alarms would constantly go off The lifts were always broken The side door was also broken for months and then got removed, the gates are always unlocked and there’s no security so theoretically anyone can come in

Although I’ve seen worse uni accoms, the management in iQ city is non existent. The fire alarms go off randomly for hours which started to affect my mental health. I was also being harassed by one of my neighbours, iQ did absolutely nothing to help. The corridors often smell like someone died. The elevators stink of human feaces and vomit. The staff at reception take ages to sort the packages and sometimes loose them. Overall, really not worth the money I paid. There are lots of other alternatives, but I really wouldn’t recommend this accom.

Elevators are out of service at least once a week, automatic doors have been broken for over 3 months now, fire alarms go off 1-5 times per day, some staff are okay but many are rude and will not accommodate your needs, communal kitchens are a disaster, and the list goes on and on. The only positives I can say about IQ is that it's in walking distance from City University.
It is not worth the money paid. My room was not cleaned when I checked in even though they make you book a slot on the app prior to arrival. I arrived at 2.30 am and they said I cannot enter at the front door, made me walk all around the building with my luggages. My ceiling light was not working since day 1 and I told this to 4 different people at the reception which all said they’d be sending someone right away and it has been a week but no response yet. Mattresses are very low quality you can literally feel all springs. Common area lounge is locked so you cannot you use it. Driers do not work.

Worst accommodation experience. IQ city is the shittiest accommodation for various reasons mentioned below • regular mugging near this area (tesco, city sport outside Iq) • front door closes at 9pm so you have to enter from the back door which is a long walk from station. • worst receptionist and maintenance staff who is super rude and never solves any queries • no management on site for weekends and all other days . so if you have any problem or issue you will never be able to find them and there is only security officer • noise complain on site always, police keeps coming and fights happen between different nationalities • they loose your parcel and then take 2-3 days to find it and revert back. •fire alarm checks everyday at 3pm for 15 mins. Because of this I couldn’t get through a job interview and my parents always got annoyed while talking to me during that tome. • constant headaches because of fire alarm and management is not at all supportive about it
some receptions are totally cowardly bully. you will get the experience like this, everyday , when you come back with an exhaused body and brain, you cannot open the door since the lock does not work, and you are goona crazy, not only because you cannot find the stuff, but also because this is the N times that the door cannot work. after waiting for more than two hours, the door finally gets repaired temporarily, the button on toilet does not work. you are so annoyed but still decide to ask for the stuff to find someone to repair it, but there's no one in reception. maybe few hours later, you finally find someone, the stuff tells you coldly, ' go back and wait for the repair', and if you ask them when, they will tell you, maybe tomorrow. this experience happens almost every week. not mention to the frequent fire alarm which you can use it as the morning call, since it will ring at 5am or midnight, which can make sure that you will never miss you class only with the cost as no sleep.

Zero customer care. You will wait two days to collect your parcel because they forgot to send notification and without it it’s nearly impossible to collect it. People on the welcome desk so slow. Fire alarm at 5 AM is the common thing here
