If you want an en-suite that’s on campus and is not too expensive, this is the best hall you can choose. The only downside is that it’s not the easiest hall to meet other people not in your flat, however, you are a two minute walk from park bar so if you like that kind of thing then that more than makes up for the lack of social space. The rooms are a decent size and the kitchen is great, I definitely made the right choice of halls!
I highly recommend these halls. It’s smaller than others such as Mackinder which gave it much more of a community feel as we got to know lots of people in the building. The halls is located near Park Bar (a one minute walk), it’s close enough to be easy to get to but far enough that you can’t hear it. The rooms are modern and between 8 people you get 2 ovens and 3 fridges which is a really good amount of space in the kitchen. I loved living here and think it’s the best halls on campus!!
Smaller halls but still very social
Good facilities and cleaning, good location on campus
The halls are very modern and spaceous. Our kitchen gets cleaned most days and our bins are emptied for us as well. There are many social spaces but as they seperate the two kitchens from the main social place it makes it hard to socialise. The location is lovelg but it’s the massive hill that we have to walk up daily that lets it down. But there is pretty much everything we need on sight such as; fitness room, shop, social space, computer room and a laundrette
Pretty decent rooms and bathrooms. The kitchen is shared between 9-10 people, you usually have a lot of space, 2 freezers and 3 fridges. Great value for money. A load of storage, you can fit everything in, and comes with underbed storage also. Location is amazing, super close to almost every facility that you'll need, and also close to many of the other halls (which makes for a great social life). Park bar is right around the corner, and you can't hear any noise coming from it. Halls hotline means that your problems get logged and fixed within a week, and noise complaints from outside can be rectified in a matter of mins. Wifi is also really good too, no issues with it so far
A bit run down. Small bed but you get good storage a dishwasher.
The accommodation should be cheaper. The kitchen should be updated to have 2 sinks. More shelving or extra pin-board in rooms would be helpful.
