Good evening, we are 3 students from Perugia University, Italy, registered at UCLAN for a post-graduate traineeship from May to September 2020.approximately 20 weeks. We are looking for accommodation in en-suite rooms or all-girl flats. We would like to know if we can book 2 weeks now, and pay the remaining weeks on site if we decide to stay and don't change our accomodation in case it is suitabl

I’m leaving soon so I’ll put an honest review. When I first came here my bedroom was dirty, you could tell no one had actually cleaned it. There was stuff under my bed under my mattress and the carpet was filthy. It truly is the bare essentials living here, nothing looks nice or decorated. (I live in economic but come on, at least make it look nice just because I didn’t want a TV). I get embarrassed bringing friends over that come from nicer accommodation purely because my bedroom looks like a classroom and not an actual bedroom. If you truly just want the basics then this is the place for you. Can’t argue with the social aspect, it is really good. Definitely go if you are more of a extrovert type. Close to university as well but don’t forget there’s better cheaper accommodation that is also close. Wi-Fi is rubbish. All in all it’s an OK place to live. But truly they need to renovate ALL flats including economic just to look a little more like a home.

Whitendale is only good for socializing because of the courtyard and also it held most of the freshers week events, that being said, this is the only advantage. (Other than it being close to the Greenbank and Harrington buildings, but I guess that depends on where your classes are) Maintenance comes to your flat at least once a week, and you'll always know that they're there, because they won't stop yelling until you come out of your room, so they can say hello at 9AM while you're trying to sleep. Even though they come all the time, when you actually call them from the flat's phone that you have an issue, they'll tell you that you shouldn't call them if your issue isn't pressing. (I called about a broken light in the bathroom at 11PM, and they told me that I shouldn't call them this late, even though it literally says on the phone that it's a 24/7 service). Our vacuum cleaner broke down and they gave us a new one after 3 months. Now I know why they call it"Shitendale"

- the location was very convenient. super close to all of my main buildings and the library, to the point where i could leave five minutes before my lecture and still make it in time. - disappointing room - no convenient storage e.g. most of the storage was high up but there wasn't much room for anything i'd quickly need. - the wardrobe was small & there was no bedside table. very frustrating. - the pin board was so huge that i couldn't even fill it all!! a lot of room for posters and little reminders, which was a pleasant surprise. - the kitchen was TINY. so small and it was often difficult for more than two of us to cook at the same time. - a lot of storage space!! having two refrigerators and an additional freezer was extremely helpful. - the oven looked kind of shady and the door was broken when we arrived, but my flatmate fixed it and it seemed to work. - wifi was extremely on and off, but this didn't seem to be limited to whitendale. - no common room???? why not?????

I loved living in whitendale but it's the people that make it great, it's very basic but what more do you want and the beds are surprisingly comfy! Going your washing is a pain and there's no social area

Overpriced, uncomfortable, and the cleaners only come about twice a term. Such a rip off. Only good things are the fast internet and it is close to town and campus!

You get the basics for every day living. The only downfall is not having a common room/living room where all of could hang out together. Altough a kitchen does a perfect job.

I first moved to iq halls and I didn't like it one bit so I decided to change to whitendale and my social life went up.My fflatmates were dead nice. We all went out together had laughs. They also respected me and did not drink due to my religion. The commin room is small but it allow us all to talk and chill out. Tge location is on canpus and it like 10 mins away from city. Thehall mamanagement is good. Security always on hand if you need them. Definitely worth the money!
