Elm was great. The ensuite shower room was a little bit small, but it was better than having to share. It was conveniently located to Earlham Hall for me as I had classes there. It was a bit further away from the main bit of campus but I got quite fit having to walk everywhere. Our cleaner was Sue who was lovely, and would help you out if you got locked out of your room accidentally. It definitely pays to be nice to your cleaner! Our kitchen had recently been updated so we had ovens. The only negative was that there wasn't a common room and so we'd have to hang out in the kitchen. It was a small building with only 6 flats so we all got to know each other quite well.
Just across the road from the main campus (10-15 minute walk to centre of campus) so it's a great location. This flat is shared by 6 people which is a great number and means there is enough space for everyone in the kitchen. The room is a good size and has lots of storage (the bed lifts up to create lots of storage room). The only bad things are that the en-suite is a shower room so everything gets wet and stays wet for hours afterwards and the window is very draughty.
Quite pricey (as are all halls), the walk from campus isn't that bad, the cleaner is fantastic and so friendly, the nice new kitchens are super snazzy. Super social halls - no locks on individual flats means we can come and go as we please to see all our pals. Elm forever xoxoxoxoxox
