I literally had a very good time staying with Student Roost Jame’s Point. The place is designed for students to high standards. Compared to other student accommodations, this place is at the very top I would probably rank it 1 or 2 in Newcastle.

St James’ Point is ideal for students at Newcastle University Business School, as it is located right opposite. It's also only a 9-minute walk from Newcastle University’s main campus and no more than an 18-minute walk to the different Northumbria University campuses.
St James’ Point offers students a choice of stylish rooms that all have modern fittings and furnishings. If you are after more private space you can opt for a self-contained studio with a fitted kitchenette, en-suite shower room and personal study space. On 12th June, I checked in, and found the windows in my room are dirty which full of mud and bird ****, so I asked the frontdesk and they said they will clean in next few weeks. What's worse, when I open the clothes store I found a lot of cleaning tool in there with A LOT OF DIRTS I don't know who leave there and I feel so frustrated, and one thing is great that they are serious about the self-isolation and they provide help for the delivery the takeaway and parcel to your room.

The place and especially the washing machines in the main building are filthy. FILTHY. I have reported that issue 3 times now and to no avail. I have also been having problems with noisy neighbours for weeks now and nobody has replied to my emails or tried to help in any way. The walls and floor of my room are vibrating from the bass of somebody's music. And it's been happening every day, all day, only stopping at 2:00am! Like how am I supposed to sleep or study? And I am paying huge amounts of money to stay here. IT'S HORRIBLE. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

It has the best location you can ever ask for! 5 minutes to Chinatown, less than 10 minutes to city centre, 30 seconds to business school! Very friendly staffs, maintenance is always prompt and responsive if anything is broken. 24hours security and parcels will always be collected.

The best student accommodation to stay in Newcastle! Rooms are really spacious with so many facilities! Only minutes away from the business school & main campus. There are so many activities to get involved in-you won't get bored, I promise! The staff go above and beyond to meet your needs & make sure you are comfortable and happy. I couldn't recommend a better place to stay in :)
