The maintenance team are also super responsive, if anything is not 100% in my flat, I can get it fixed in the next morning. There are several common rooms which are amazing for any type of meetings.. The rooms are fine! I have visited other good residences and I find the rooms here among the best ones. Loads of space for storage, good furniture conditions, ... really cannot complain. The area is great! So much to do around, from trendy cafes, to authentic restaurants and bars, and even cool yoga studios. The tube is also 2 min walk and there are plenty of bus stops! All this comes with a price: noise. So if you are choosing for your room, pick one from the back, the view is also much better! Finally, the events... they constantly throw parties (Halloween, St Patrick's, Welcoming party, The well-being party) and so we can get to know people from the building Issues happen anywhere, but I know the iQ team and management CARE, and I can rely on them to address any situation.

Fire alarm goes off all time, for a very short period of time so clearly not necessary, sometimes over 7 times a day at any hour of day/night The lifts do not work. Half the time I lived here they were completely out of order, and there are 16 floors meaning that it’s a very long way to walk up. If they do work, you can only press one button at a time so you can be going up and down for a while before you’re able to get to your floor On the first day I moved in my key didn’t work so I was waiting for several hours with all of my belongings before I could even get into my room I had ants in my room and the maintenance team at iQ said they didn’t carry any supplies for ants so I had to figure it out myself and the pest control services never came even though I was told that they would. The gym was very unsanitary and had water leaks meaning that the floor was very wet and it was a small and humid room and was in the basement so poorly ventilated.
i vacated this property at the end of summer (september) after staying in Shoreditch and it is now december and still havent received my deposit refund. I have emailed 3 times and tried to call about 10 times but the phone says that the mailbox is full and nobody ever answers the phone. they're quick to take your rent but don't return your deposit even after 3 months - absolutely awful.
Horrendous. The laundry situation is most frustrating, horrible response from management.
IQ Construction Shoreditch. Staff and management totally unaware and useless. Come see it for yourself before booking.
There is a construction work on site I have no idea about when to end as I had not been informed that it would be started. They have transformed almost all the social areas and study rooms to bedrooms in order to make profit from them. Althought they say there will be new ones, I am sure that they will not be even the half of previous ones. Even if they match in square meters, the situation demonstrates facility's approach and respect to its tenants with continuous construction dirt and noise happening with no notice. On site staff are always very kind and helpful, I wish they were the ones managing the hall. Internet is working well. The location is very satisfying. Also, there always occurs periodic problems with elevators and sometimes with heaters.
We have booked Premium Super Plus room, and on the day of the check-in refurbishment works were still on. Person who was working on the site said that it would take up to 4 weeks to finish the room. Moreover, the rooms doesn’t match the description and photos only represent one single room out of 30 (approximate number). In addition, there are two types of room with different layouts which isn’t mentioned on the website. Staff isn’t helpful at all. They kindly asked me to find the different hall if I don’t like something. Additionally, the info that they have 24 common rooms is out of date. They converted them into different rooms. Only study room, art studio and dance studio are left.
Avoid this student hall guys! One of the worst in London. The lifts were always broken down and out of service and the wifi connection was awful with many intermittent issues all the year. What's more, they have started renovations works all the summer from May to September without giving us any notice. It was impossible for me to study due to the hammering and drilling. It is a pity they do not show any respect for the tenants and they care only about money.
Hello, I truly recommend this residence! It's beautiful, clean and very quite. I love living here. The common spaces are very big and elegant. It's a pleasure staying here
Awfully loud on both sides of the building, wifi costs extra and gym as well even advertised for free and the lifts never work

Don't recommend to live here, they have poor service.
I love living at iQ Shoreditch. The iQ team is a lovely bunch, they are very understanding and fair to students. There are lots of social spaces and events are held frequently. There are always giveaways, prizes and free coffee! The location is great. It is very close to the tube station and local supermarkets. The building is quite new and the rooms are very modern. And most importantly, I feel very safe living at iQ! It may be pricey living here but you get what you pay for! I highly recommend living at iQ Shoreditch.
If you're looking for an affordable place, I STRONGLY URGE you to keep researching other places. You will be deprived of hot water almost every 3 weeks, elevators will be breaking down every few weeks (good luck catching your bus when everyone is using the same 1 lift). You spend about 4 pounds per load only to get some of your clothes left wet. If you have a maintenance issue, only way attention will be brought is if you send multiple e-mails.
