Was kicked out after just over a month of living there. There was now communal area for the building only in flats so when living in a studio it was difficult to meet people in the same building. Rooms were nice but small, in studios cupboard space was poor and the size of cupboards made it difficult to actually get anything to fit in them. read more

Great student accommodation, seconds away from the university. I live in a Studio and can’t recommend this place enough, most maintenance issues are fixed within the hour, the rooms are great for storage, and really modern. read more

Would not choose this again after the experience of the on site emergency contact when i was left outside at 3am after coming home from placement (student nurse), in the end he had his phone on charge and was painting. I love living at the Gateway! The flats are great! The kitchen is really spacious and plenty of cupboard space for 7 people! We really made our flat feel like home. The uni manage it and everyone you speak to is really helpful. All the emails we get are really clear and inform us of any inspections and stuff! You have your own key for post & can check to see if you have anything at anytime which is really convenient and better than some of my friends halls who are able to do it when the reception is open as they’re often in lectures. This is my second year living here and really hope I get to stay here for my last! read more

Are the shelves above the desk big enough and strong enough for lever arch files? Also, is the space at the end of the bed big enough for a slim set of drawers? One final thing, are all the rooms orange?! Need to plan bedding 😆

Shelves above desk are plenty strong enough to hold lever arch folders and I believe you could easily fit 8 or so folders in each section (there are 3 sections), I used to store a plethora of books up there and never had any issues. Space at the end of the bed is extremely limited in both the en-suite rooms and studios, about ~20ish cm at an estimate. In regards to the colour of them rooms, that v

No, glasses and plates are not provided by any UoL accommodation as far as I know. You will have to provide these yourself.

Storage is good, not great. The wardrobe space is more than big enough and you have plenty of shelf space available, overall better than most other accommodation I've stayed over at. There is a massive space under your bed to store anything in but be warned, it's extremely physical/hard work to get to once put under there.

No, the studio rooms function as a self contained unit (with or without access to a communal lounge). The kitchenette unit, however, has everything you would expect in a communal kitchen (sink, 2 ring hob, combi-oven/grill, fridge and a breakfast bar with 2 chairs) plus a great amount of kitchen storage space (compared to what you would find in communal kitchen).
