Whilst the property may be more quiet than others, I find this a lot better as you’re able to actually concentrate on your studies (when COVID is over I think people will socialise a bit more within the building). Every maintenance request I’ve made has been completed within 24 hours, and I was really happy with how clean the accommodation was upon arrival. Staff have always been polite and happy to help, and I think they’ve done a good job during the pandemic keeping people safe and ensuring masks are worn throughout the building. Would definitely recommend concept place.

Great location and friendly staff.
Have stayed in a variety of student accommodation and this rates as one of the friendliest. Despite the difficulties of covid19, the team have made an effort to put on virtual events for us. Common areas are kept clean and the regular kitchen checks encourage students to be responsible for their own mess. The location is close to shops and university, and the ethernet internet speed is great.

I would not recommend Concept Place to anyone mainly due to the poor management of this accommodation. Nobody bothers to take action on serious complaints that are lodged and my emails will not be replied. I have lodged a complaint about a faulty ventilation fan and a toilet leakage, but nothing has been done to fix it for one year. Another problem with Concept Place is the noise that I had to endure due to construction work being carried out outside the flat which lasted throughout my one year stay. The constant drilling and hammering noises outside my flat had caused a tremendous amount of disturbance and I could not even sleep in a little longer as the noises would abruptly wake me up. Not to mention that construction workers would always be found standing outside of my window on a man lift which made me very uncomfortable and I have to constantly keep my curtains closed. Fire alarm testings outside my flat are also never-ending and causes a lot of noise disturbance.

Socially this halls is very poor, i have been to many others and there seems to be a much better social life. It is located in a good area quite close to town. The internet is very poor for basic usage i.e a lot of the time i cannot load facebook. The oven has broken several times and has been difficult to get anyone to look at it. It is not very good value for money and i wonder what my £136 a week is going to.
For a first year not a great place as it's very unsociable. No social area. It doesn't feel like it's part of student life. Bedroom ok, Internet awful for basic usage. V expensive for what you get. If you like very quiet places this would be ok. Seems like concept place is marketed to international stidents
THE MOST UNSOCIABLE HALLS no social side whatsoever can get very lonely. Definitely would not recommend.
I haven't had a good night's sleep since arriving at concept. I know halls are nver going to be the quietest place but the fact I'm kept awake every night by my flatmate snoring is excessive. When I say the walls are paper thin I'm being generous. The internet is worse than you can imagine, especially during peak times when everyone's studying/handing in assignments. Most of all there is NO SOCIAL SCENE at Concept. The whole experience is isolating unless you end up in a flat who instantly clicks which is unlikely since half of the halls is private. As a fresher I ended up with 2 international 3rd years who haven't even introduced themselves to me and 2 masters students. The halls make little to no effort to try and get people socializing with events etc so there's very little interflat mingling. Avoid at all costs!!!
Only fresher in my flat due to the halls being half private. Also with international students that don't speak good english. Hate it.
Nice halls, well maintained ect. Awful socially neighbours don't speak to each other, there needs to be ways to meet other people in the building. More social events eg garden party
More like a hotel than accommodation making it quite unusual. Not too far away from the campus (20 minute walk) but out of the way from all other accommodations. Half an hour walk to the city centre. Very expensive for what it is but rooms are extremely big with ensuites
Cleaner every two weeks. Feels more like individual apartments than student halls
So unsociable and there is no social activities arranged. Also don't mix foreign exchange with normal students because it causes a massive divide and makes the flat rubbish.
For the amount of money you pay you would expect this place to have at least some organized events. You are put in "pods" here and unless you're friends with your flatmates expect to be alone for a good chunk of your experience. This wasn't my first choice for accommodation and if you want to make friends, while being close to uni, it shouldn't be yours either.
I had read appalling reviews regarding Concept Place before I moved in, I was reassured that they were not true by students who had previously lived there. However, I found the appalling reviews to be true. The Internet is absolutely awful, if you have a shower after 9am- it will be cold, when I first arrived the fridges were covered with mould and the tap would make a nuissence of a noise, and may I repeat this was before I had even settled in! Another point to mention is the water pipes and drains are right by the bedrooms so while you're trying to sleep at night don't be suprised if you suddenly hear a loud noise as the drainage of the buiding passes your bedroom. Honestly and truly, don't put up with Concept Place, otherwise known as 'Reject Place'- the place where it's only worth half the rent.
Amazing and friendly staff but unfortunately a quiet and unsociable hall experience, especially for the first semester. More events, such as dinners/formals may be effective at the start of the year to introduce people to eachother.
At first I thought it was a crack den but now I'm sad to leave...
Not very social and not as nice as Central Village (which is cheaper) but good for student accommodation
Not very sociable as it's mixed between unis and there's no real common room. Big rooms but still very expensive. Good location though, 15/20min walk to uni (10 to business school) and 20min walk to town or station
