What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

The best student Accomodation in Coventry!
Accommodation with friendly staff and a good location. Rooms get hot during summer, so maybe AC would be a good addition.
Good place to stay! Only downside is when the fire alarms to off and also when there isn’t people on site 24/7
The place is creepy and realllllllllllllly old, no money is spent for renewal and definitely no effort done or money spent for the comfort of the students It has very very poor managment, no events Not caring about students to socialise No way of any improvements The place is full of insects and always saying you brought It with you !!
Perfect value for money. Get a premium studio off campus at SSV for cheaper than a basic en suite on campus.
I’ve stayed here for 3 years even after a gap year and I really wouldn’t choose anywhere else.
It is a good place for the money and offer shorter contracts so you aren’t spending more than needed like with other places, only down side is that the room wasn’t very clean when i first moved in and the fan in the bathroom doesn’t really work
been here over a year, everything's simple and it's easy to settle in to. Only issue is the WiFi can be a bit choosy with what it works with sometimes, that might just be my tech. The staff are nice and the rooms are comfortable

It was a good experience, could have been better. i myself faced a lot of problems initially but then it got better.
It’s been a great experience for me during my first term here. The staff put a lot of effort into decorations for events that they host such as christmas, halloween and the world cup. It really helps give us the opportunity to get to know people that also live within the accommodation.
It's very cost-effective comapred to other student accomodations in city centre, it's relatively new decorated so in many design I think it makes an improvement! Staff here are also very warmhearted, and willing to help you solve problem. Sometimes noise may be generated from up or down stairs, but in general, it's a really good living experience for me in this academic year.

Very modern apartment，clean，quiet
Most things are perfect, clean, quiet, close to the centre of city, alot nearby markets. But the WiFi is not stable, especially when watching videos. It is fast but sometimes "rest" for a while to load next few seconds.
The property is quite good. It is in the centre of the city and with an affordable price. It has good social space and good security, friendly and helpful staff.
The rooms offer a studio apartment complete with full kitchenette for less than the price most providers charge for a shared kitchen ensuite room. Ed and Paul are exceptionally friendly and helpful too.
Bit further away from uni buildings than other places but cheaper

The staff goes above and beyond, they know students individually and care about ones wellbeing. The property is safe with all day security. Ted, paul and sarah have managed to make me feel at home. Would highly recommend living here as it is much better than any other properties i have lived in. You get the total package at sherbourne.

As a physics student I could think of some engineering adjustments to improve the room, but generally I am happy with how it was build.
I think that sherbourne has been absolutely amazing. I have stayed here for three years and enjoyed every year! 😊
The premium studio is actually better than superior studio cuz it is equipped with lift and floor-to-ceiling windows. The storage space is much better in premium studio as well.
