Pillar Box Biography
Located in Coventry city centre, Pillar Box is surrounded by shops, bars, restaurants and cafes, providing you with the perfect work and play environment. The accommodation is a short seven-minute walk away from Coventry University and a nineteen-minute bike ride from the University of Warwick.
You have all the amenities you need as the building houses a gym and fitness suite as well as a steam room. There is ultra-fast WiFi and study facilities for those days when you need to get work done. If you are wanting to socialize with friends and neighbours, you can join one of the exclusive social events or hang out in the club lounge. For your benefit, there is all-inclusive rent and state of the art security.
You have the choice of staying in your own private studio or an en-suite room in a shared apartment. The rooms are spacious and provide you with everything you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There is storage space, a double bed, a study desk and chair.

I’ll start with the good part — which is “Nothing” except for the location. The worst part is the management, which is never there (honestly). From the day I had my check-in to this building, I’ve been facing so many problems and there is no one to solve them. Literally worse customer service ever I have seen in Coventry. I had to wait for 2 hours to get in to my room even when I paid £3300 upfront for my entire duration and then the room was so messy and the window won’t even open a bit, and surprisingly it was so hot that day that my room felt like a furnace and I had to get out my room cuz I couldn’t sit there for one more minute. After repeatedly asking them for the window maintenance, they only excuses and till today( it’s been a month) the window has been repaired. Also, If I have a issue after 5, there is no one, even the security is not there and no one picks up the emergency calls even. So, I do know that I can’t rely on them if I have any emergency.

location is very central and has great access to Coventry city centre. the facilities are generally good but the lift is less reliable. friendly staff and it is quite a quiet environment which is good for studying. is staying here for the second year and the experience is generally positive.

This place is a great mix of stuff that every student needs. First of all, the rooms are quite good. The prices of specific room types change every year but they seem worth it. The location of this building has the most advantages I must say. The uni is just 5 mins from here, and im surrounded by a lot of shops which makes my life 10times better . Not much vehicles come here, so it's pretty quiet, good for studying I am an international student so when I booked it before coming to the UK, it was like a leap of faith. But it turned out to be really good.

The location is very central and you can reach all the shops in the city centre in 2-10 mins. All the staff are very friendly and willing to help with your queries. They also check on your well-being regularly during COVID times. The studio rooms are quite spacious and have a big double bed and TV. However, the desk is a bit small for a student studying in the room every day. The social area includes a pool table, tennis table and some games. The social experience has been quite limited over the past year, but hopefully, it will get better once the restrictions are lifted. The site is safe with the staff being present on-site almost 24h a day. I have been living here for 2 years now and my experience has been positive so far!

So basically starting from the day I checked in, the room was not cleaned at all and after telling them everyday repeatedly the room was cleaned 2 weeks later. The behaviour of City manager after Collegiate’s takeover changed towards the tenants. The manager is not at all supportive with the clients. Manager is rude at a times while dealing with the situation. Also the complaints are not solved promptly by the managing team

Excellent house keeping service, clean common area, helpful staff. The only thing that could be improved is the garbage disposal area should apply pest control because flies sometime fly in my room
