Great university, the campus is lovely
I wish there was more stuff to do around campus but generally it’s ok
The belfeild campus is amazing, but the smurfit campus is out dated, no student life, extremely our of the way and difficult to get to.

It's been a pretty good time, I lived on campus for the last year of it. Lecturers were all really helpful!
It’s really difficult to access some of the facilities such as the gyms and they require extra money for the swimming pool. students union should try harder. This site is amazing I haven’t been any club unfortunately during my two years period there. The careers service are basically inexistent since they do such a good job. Really comes to Internet connection is repeatedly stopped in the law school this year for no reason.

Great experience with unbelievable opportunities to grow
I had the time of my life in UCD. I often look back and realise what how good life was while on campus. The atmosphere and facilities were fantastic, and the staff were all incredibly helpful and caring at every step of my college journey.
SU useless, WiFi not strong enough for calls/videocalls, unreasonable expensive for food, facilities use and rents (1200 euros/month for a room are you crazy). Reception of the residences unprofessional - they stole money from me and didn't know how the common areas work! I didn't find the modules interesting and difficult enough for a university. The health care unit is useless (they're not doctors! I broke a finger at 9pm and I had to wait until the next afternoon to get a visit at the health centre and the doctor didn't even look at the finger, i paid 30 euros just for an x-ray prescription).

I hated UCD in first year, I really do mean hate. I became depressed from the loneliness and sense of being constantly lost. I had a nervous breakdown during the summer exams, after the stress from the year finally reached breaking point. I had never experienced mental health issues to this extent. I’m not sure if it was a lack of support for incoming first years on UCD’s part or my own fault. However, I always say I’m grateful I don’t have to do first year there ever again. Things improved in second year as I got a part time job I really loved (ie not much changed on UCD’s part), finally in third year we were split into smaller classes and things improved dramatically, with much more student-lecturer contact and interaction. Covid hit in my second semester of third year, but I do think most lecturers went above and beyond to help us (science, medicine and biomed students) during this time. Fourth year was obviously all during covid, but again I think lecturers really were supportive.
Best choice in university for me. Amazing course, amazing people, amazing campus. The SU does a lot of great work and the societies are phenomenal, and I’m proud to be an active member of both.
I love UCD. Campus is purpose built for students with amazing food options and always a good buzz about the place.

Excellent lectures, top tier facilities
I was a UCD student during the 2020-2021 academic year, coming from a foreign country. The experience was really devastating, before starting the master's degree the representative told me by email that the education would be blended and unfortunately what I believed was a lie. The university did not offer any opportunity to interact with other students or to go to class, although they promised otherwise before making the payments. The university uses marketing campaigns in which they show themselves as a university that cares about integrating foreign students, which in my experience was totally false, despite the fact that I sent them emails asking for solutions and help. So my experience of starting from 0 in a new country without being able to relate to anyone was a challenge for my mental health. After graduation the only ones who got jobs related to studies were Irish and native English students. So I do not recommend non-native English speakers to study at UCD.
Despite having well over 30 thousand students, UCD takes the time to make you feel valued and appreciated. I feel like I'm getting top class education and creating my future here in UCD.
So far I can’t really complain about the college, a lot more problems come on the expenses end. Student accomodation is scarce and very expensive. UCD hasn’t helped the problem by building luxury accomodation as opposed to cost efficient, student accomodation.
Tonnes of facilities on the huge campus and an abundance of great people to meet
The Blackrock Campus is fairly good, but could be better in terms of amenities. It feels way too "detached" and "distant" from the rest of UCD. The quality of education is good, but I wouldn't say "excellent" or "outstanding." The internet works on all my devices except my phone for some reason.
UCD does not care about you unless you are part of a top level sports team or a first class honours student. You will not receive the help you require when you need it. UCD will not go out of its way to help you. It’s profit-driven, they only want to help people that they think will promote UCD in a positive way. And then they have the neck to call us up a year later asking for alumni donations after raising charges campuswide including a >10% rise in rents in one year.
A great University. Truly deserves all the credit it gets. Top university in Ireland in my opinion, based off what peers from other universities tell me.
Excellent university particularly for the sciences, healthcare and languages. Sports, music and the arts are also well looked after. In addition, the social life in UCD is second to none
Overall a great institution, but is very improperly run. My final grades were withheld due to a mistake by the university, and when my grades were finally released there was one I wanted to have rechecked but it was not allowed because the time to recheck had passed. I have them evidence of the fact I had only just received my results and that the university was at fault, but they told me that they were sorry and offered no alternative or even support. They don't like to acknowledge that they make mistakes at the cost of their students, because they don't care about the students except for when they want their money.
An excellent campus bursting with friendly people, amazing opportunities and the best of services. Although it may seem big it is honestly the rarest thing from daunting once you get used to it.
All they care about is money and not student welfare
Majority of students personalities awful, very unwelcoming, really disliked my 3 years there, facilities are top class though
The craic died in this college shortly after the boom, the home to culchies in Dublin and people with less self Centered egos than trinity students. The highlight of this college is it’s very own homeless man which can be found more easily than drink around campus
