Love it, have been here for 4 years in a 6 year course and really love it
Overall UCD is a good college for socialising and finding your space is easy when there’s so many different clubs and interests. The SU do help with a lot of issues on campus. One issue I hope they help with in the future would be the housing situation. UCD used to have resident assistants who would live at the campus at a discounted rate and would help around the college. This used to help many people afford accommodation and experience campus life. UCD have now replaced those with campus assistants who are paid to work here and aren’t necessarily students and also have to pay full rent. Other colleges have RAs in don’t understand why UCD can’t bring them back
As the largest international university in Ireland, UCD has a fantastic campus that is both easily accessible and conveniently located near the city centre. The university offers a wide range of facilities, from sports, societies, and events to essential services like counselling, a GP, and a pharmacy. The addition of gyms, a swimming pool, and even a cinema makes student life even more enjoyable. The campus has a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, with supportive staff and plenty of seating areas for dining and socialising. One of its best features is the abundance of greenery, which creates a peaceful and scenic environment. The lakes are a lovely spot for study breaks, and the surrounding forest walks provide a refreshing escape from academic life. Overall, UCD offers a well-rounded and vibrant university experience.
UCD has a very nice campus with a strong international student population. My School hosts the SFI Research Centre for Applied Geosciences, and as such there is a very strong research environment within the school and I am very excited about it. I get to work with other researchers at Trinity and other Irish Universities. I am a member of the African Students’ Society and get to meet many African students. So overall, it’s an exciting experience. Overall, everything is top notch.
I love the atmosphere in this college. I have wanted to attend this college since I started Secondary School and all I can say it has met my expectations! I have met amazing people and the staff are so helpful during my education journey.
Really enjoy ucd. Beautiful campus and really good classes
I personally love the campus because it’s like its own little world especially with the walk paths. It’s a beautiful school and especially looks good at night and during Christmas time. I love the building and the study areas available.
I love UCD so much and what they have to offer in relation to societies to join. I like that the islamic society made me feel seen and heard. The facilities on campus are so aesthetic and the environment is one that I will terribly miss after I graduate xx
I transferred from a different college last year and the difference in the facilities is insane. There are so many resources for the students in UCD and I couldn’t be happier to leave a good review
Current review is that it’s an amazing campus. Everything you need is here in terms of facilities, amenities and other things like restaurants etc. only major issue is that there’s no shuttle to get from one side of campus to the other cause it’s so big!
I’m currently having a great time here!
I have lived my time in UCD. I have thrown myself into college life here and I’ve had a great experience in return. I have been part of sports clubs and there is plenty of funding provided to clubs in order to facilitate students to achieve their very best and reach their potential. The educational facilities are very impressive also. UCD don’t leave us to study everything on our own. They support us throughout our college journey.
UCD leaves much to be desired regarding the rent they charge their students for accommodation however the facilities are clean and great especially for sports
UCD has a really great campus, with all sorts of nature elements indulge in it. So, even if it gets lonely there are swan, ducks and other birdies accompanying you.
UCD is such an amazing university to go to! It’s honestly such a privilege to be able to say that I attend UCD. I remember when offers came out and I saw that i didn’t get into Trinity and I was so bummed but honestly now I couldn’t be happier.
Sports facilities are open to paying outsiders so students treated as second class members. wifi can be hit or miss. societies and clubs especially sport ones don’t often cater to beginners.
UCD is a good place to study and the facilities are tip notch. It's a great campus and is full of amazing learninh opportunities
I have had a wonderful 4 years on campus and love the atmosphere. The new facilities built post COVID have been very clean and sustainable and add to the campus vibe.
university college dublin has a great campus with great facilities
I have loved my time at ucd and think that the support for students is excellent.
Ucd is overal very accomadating to everything
The university is clearly a world class university and it is very apparent in terms of staff and facilities, however the Student Union could be improved massively as prices on campus are high and there is not enough student accommodation.
I love UCD campus is great and modern I have really enjoyed my 4 years there wouldn’t have went anywhere else!
It’s a nice university and has a really beautiful campus.
Very kind and welcoming community but the campus itself could definitely be improved. James Joyce is an old library and the third floor is always too full - maybe another renovation is needed.
Good college and activities available
Large campus, diverse range of societies.
University College Dublin is a large and diverse university with lots of new facilities. there are many gyms, cafes and restaurants on campus. there is a strong student union presence that run many events and campaigns during the year. The career service is easily accessible and offer one to one appointments to discuss your future career
I love UCD. The environment is welcoming, people are nice and the campus facilities are amazing. I love the fact that you can always meet new people from the various different courses. There is always something going on (like everyday) and the gym classes (7x a week) are a great way to socialise and exercise while on campus. Could not recommend more.
As an international student I couldn’t have chosen a better place to study medicine I love UCD!!
great university excellent facilities. missing a 24hour library - major issue also SU shop opening hours are very limited overall mass variety of extracurriculars and events
Love UCD certain buildings better than others so it definitely varies. Food range is great, cute vendors come very week so lots of different places to try
Diverse student body with a communal atmosphere Supportive lecturers and teaching staff Well-maintained facilities and amenities
Overall super happy w the university!! The sporting facilities in particular are great :)
Amazing campus, couldn’t fault it. Very decent bus routes. Good on campus services if regarding on campus accommodation help. Lecturers generally have a high standard. Wouldn’t want to be in any other college.
Love ucd so many things to do so many food options and u can get discounts on food in the su shop
I am on the UCD’s smurfit campus and that is mainly what my rating is based on. Over all the facilities are decent but the smurfit campus especially the toilets there is room for improvement.
Brilliant atmosphere around campus. Has many different clubs and societies that suit all interests. Very inclusive.
UCD is so cute I love it it's so aesthetic. my course (human nutrition) is my fav ever and I love coming in every single day. Biggest issue is how expensive the shops on campus are (even SU shops) I think upcharging students like that is insane
I feel it’s a good university, great facilities and good student bodies (student unions/ clubs and societies). It is very big and sometimes you can feel like just another number but I suppose that’s due to the vast amount of students in attendance.
Great university always lots to do and good facilities. Its a shame the internet is so bad and also lecture halls are very cold during winter
I have loved my time in UCD. I couldn’t really fault it in any way! The campus is wonderful, there are so many clubs and societies to join and I have made the best friends and memories during my 4 years of uni :)
The university is really great! It’s a huge campus and the classrooms, clubs, and all the other buildings are well managed. The staff is helpful and the teachers are really nice.
Excellent service, amazing staff. Good facilities and it’s worth the money.
UCD is a beautiful school with great student support, especially for international students!
I wouldn't be the person I am today without UCD
I generally like my campus and its facilities. The lecturers are great and very helpful most of the time and so is the career service. The SU and Societies are great too and offer many options for students.
UCD has been an amazing college with several opportunities around for student. There are a lot of student support and advice available so you never feel alone. There are several clubs and societies to join that cater to any niche interests you might have, these societies are great for finding a community of like minded people in the college.
I love UCD. There is a great atmosphere on campus and a great sense of community. There are lots of student supports available and a wide range of facilities.
I’m in first year engineering and love my course! But I made the mistake of not studying chemistry or physics in secondary school and that made last term very difficult, but I’m all caught up and loving second term!!
Amazing experience studying at UCD.
A really great campus overall. Supports are everywhere and there are so many societies and clubs you can join.
I am in the first year of my 4 year degree, and I can say UCD is a great place to study the facilities are amazing, I also go to the gym there regularly and it is great. I really love my course and can’t wait for the rest of the 3 years studying in UCD.
Overall great facilities and good college experience
One thing I love about UCD is the range of facilities for students; free access to 2 gyms, private study rooms, a swimming pool and a wide range of food places/ restaurants. Overall great campus.
UCD is a wonderful university. It has a big campus with excellent facilities such as sports facilities, places to eat, shops, libraries, lecture theatres etc. There are also lots of great clubs and societies to choose from. It is a very diverse and pleasant university that offers a balance between academics and social activities.
I love the campus, love the way there are so many buildings , love the sheer amount of societies, love all the people and events and everything about the place
Everything is great and i enjoy UCD very much! The one thing I can complain about is the Wi-Fi, it keeps disconnecting. But that’s it! I love it here.
I have had a wonderful time during my 4 years so far in UCD. I couldn’t fault it. The campus has such a lovely atmosphere and it is really like a student town!
Good services. Would like the library to open earlier and close later
Overall a good university where you are given a well-balanced experience with good academics and social life. As a research heavy university you get good exposure and opportunity in research alongside with connecting with lecturers who do research in their specific fields. Also, the facilities are really good allowing you to be on top of your health and sports. There is also a wide variety and range of societies and clubs which allow you to pursue your hobbies while also allowing you to delve into new experiences.
The university is very diverse and welcoming. The campus is amazing.. my course “public health” is rewarding as well.
Love the international staff, they helped me a lot !!! Love the cinema and pool as well and the teachers are the best
Amazing campus facilities, academic programmes and staff. Costs need to be kept slightly lower on campus.
Couldn’t name a better a better university in Ireland than UCD . The students the facilities , incentives it offers opportunities is 10/10.
UCD is a great university with excellent facilities, especially for sports. The university has a plethora of clubs and societies which cater for everyone. I am in my sixth year of study at UCD and have loved my time here.
The campus facilities and all other extracurricular activities are top notch.
UCD is great because everything you need is on campus, you never have to leave! In saying that there’s great links into the city when you’re ready to explore. There’s great supports for students and the teaching is high standard, there’s a club for everyone and these are always well advertised so you can find them.
Studying at UCD is a pleasure. The staff are professional and experienced, the SU are very engaged in student life and problems raised by the student body, and the facilities are state of the art - especially the science building and the newly renovated level of the James Joyce library, making studying even more enjoyable.
A large and vibrant community of international students.
I am studying Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology so the recently renovated O’Brien Science Centre really is a pleasure to study in. The laboratories and lecture halls are all well suited to optimal learning environments.
Great university. Brilliant facilities- it’s awesome having free access to the gym. Libraries are excellent also but they get very full around exam time. Would like to see more parking spaces also!
I love the college and everyone there I’ve had nothing but good experiences!!!
I love studying here. The campus and facilities are great. The staff are super helpful and organised.
A great campus and provides ample resources for my field of study. Lively students and good college atmosphere.
UCD is like a small village, it fosters a sense of community within the campus. It has state of the art facilities and continues to grow. Walking around the campus makes you feel as though you're in a movie with the buzz of students. The are also many coffee carts that provide the best coffee!! It's also a dog friendly campus so no doubt you'll encounter some fury friends.
I am a first year student studying science hoping to specialise in physiology or neuroscience . I aspire to go on to study graduate entry medicine . I love to learn and I’m passionate about my degree, I believe by meeting the right people and having strong motivation anything is possible
UCD is the best decision of my life. I have zero regrets in taking admission here.
Not bad, internationally recognised
Overall good services and community but the communication and costs of things on campus are bad
UCD is a great university. I'm so glad I chose to go to UCD. You are supported every step of the way and it's so much fun. I've met great people here and had some of the best experiences of my life.
Amazing university with great facilities and opportunities
UCD has a lively campus and numerous amenities from a cinema to Pilates studios just to name a few. There are delis and cafes in every building so you never out of options. The support for students is incredible, counseling, career guidance and medical care is accessible to students on campus and online
I really love the course I’m in (science), but very difficult to make friends if you’re not from there
UCD is a great school with a huge international student population. It is very easy to make friends if youre not from Ireland and has great clubs and societies. Also the reslife program is very fun to get to know Residential assitants and other residents on campus. It is easily walkable and has so many good eating spots. I personally love Poolside Cafe and the ClubHouse. Additionally, there is a plethora of programs to choose from for your studies at UCD.
Awesome university with an abundance of facilities
Past 5 years in UCD have been a great experience I’ve made a lot of connections and friends during my time here and hope to continue these friendships and relationships after uni it’s been good!
The wifi is often slow to connect or doesn’t work despite there being 2 servers - ucd wifi and eduroam
Loved my time here it was hard to get full experience with covid and being a nursing student but overall enjoyed my experience and would recommend to others
UCD consists of an amazing campus which offers a large amount of services and facilities to accommodate all students. The SU works very hard to provide students with essential aid and to tackle major problems affected students, and always incorporating the students' voice at all times.
Great college with loads of facilities. Loads of societies and clubs. Excellent gym and libraries
I wish I could be on campus more, but I live far away from it and the transport is a hassle. Its really beautiful, every building will have some sort of cafe and good seatings. The nature trail and libraries are amazing as well. My only complaint is that the WiFi is not reliable most of the times
Amaziiiiinngggggggggggfggggfffff
The reception is great! Bianca, Sonam and Leela are the best ! :)
Teaching experience is amazing
Good university and efficient teaching
Best University in Ireland to pursue masters
Smurfit college - Great experience
Friendly, knowledgeable lecturers. Orientation week offers could be better organized.
Overall wonderful college experience.
