The campus is large with lots of space to work
Don't have anything bad to say it's got everything you need tbh but doesnt exceed those expectations
I joined Bournemouth University with great expectations of societies and wonderful friendly people but was sadly disappointed on arrival. This hasn't improved over the last 6 months. You have to pay extra out of your pocket to take part in societies and even then they are terribly run and rarely meet! There is a minuscule collection of societies heavily revolved around sports or drinking... if you're looking for culture head somewhere else. Food on campus is overpriced and not student friendly. It's cheaper to get a meal deal at Tesco. The cherry on the cake is unfriendly peers who merely want to get drunk or go home for the weekend. I wouldn't recommend this university to anyone who has even a glimmer of life in them, it will suck it out of you.
University itself is a high standard, however they got rid of the best food/diner area in 2017 which left students with little to no eating places on campus.
Brilliant modern university to be attending! Always events on throughout every week so there is plenty to do during your spare time at uni during breaks between your lectures and seminars.
Amazing University!!!! had a lovely four years wish I could do it all again
Do not go to this university, the worst four years of my life, drained me mentally and physically. Any other university is better than this one, I will suffer for the rest of my life because of what has caused.
Great uni, always encouraging involvement. Sports teams are particularly great to be part of.
Talbot Campus is good, good range of places to eat, Fusion building is great.
Spent a year of my life, and £9000 at BU and wish I could take it all back. I studied Events Management, and we were hardly in uni at all. Some weeks I was in two days, some weeks one, and they count PAL sessions (classes with people one year older then you, and not any wiser) as 'contact time' with tutors. I never saw one lecturer enough for any of them to give me a reference when I was leaving, and when I told the head of my year I wanted to move to AUB (literally across the road. Literally. You can see it from the window) she didn't know what uni I was talking about. But overall the biggest error was the fact that we never got to put on an actual event. This course is cobbled together from other management and business course units, so you have to study hardcore finances and economics, and then sit maths exams in them. We got to plan a 'pretend' event, but that was all. I believe in second year groups all put on different versions of the same event, but how rubbish is that?
