Great facilities with plenty or parking and accessible water station throughout the campus. Lecturers are helpful and aid or singpost to appropriate resources if appropriate. As a Phd student I found the online library very useful and with access to all the papers and books that are required as part of my course. I also feel safe, welcomed and at ease to walk around the campus.
The WiFi doesnt let you connect to the eduroam wifi and the signal can be poor in some locations
Any signals from a cell tower are completely diminished as soon as you enter Ember Lounge or similar locations, and the outdoor WiFi (eduroam) experiences similar issues. Other than that, I personally don't find significant interest in any of the societies available but they are all pretty large and probably very welcoming. There's a Guild of Assassins which I find very interesting but I'm not fit for it. The buildings are very well designed with modern features and tech all over the place.

eduroam is the bane of my existence
Decent Uni, shame about them cutting funding to a lot of campus stores and courses to line their own pockets
My lecturers are amazing all I wanted them to be and more !!! We have amazing onsite facilities as a criminology student the mock court rooms and custody suites are very beneficial to my learning, we also have a wide range of societies and clubs that you can join to help intergrate within the community ! The wife here is excellent!! Very fast and easy to connect to !!

All the staff are really helpful and help you with your modules and learning. It is also easier to complete the self-learning and independent study for me with the facilities available for me to use in and out of university. The careers service is great, with lots of online resources to help you, as well as great careers advisors you can just sign up for meetings with.
Overall I am very pleased with the university and facilities/services they offer. Great start to my time at university!
I am a distanced student, but on the times that I have been on campus I have used the excellent facilities for effective learning. I would absolutely choose to continue my studies here physically in the post graduate department.
The university has really good facilities with plenty of computer labs so that work can be done. There are also loads of societies from gaming ones to academic ones so there should be pretty much one for everyone. The location is also good since there's plenty of supermarkets around for people in accommodation.
So far I have felt very involved and welcomed to the university. I've had many opportunities to get to know those in my seminar group as well as those in my lectures. The staff are so kind and helpful and I'm looking forward to studying here.
So many different clubs and societies. You couldn't ask for more. There is many cafeterias and coffe places too. The gym is good and there's alot of equipment
University as a whole is what you make it. Its a technologically advanced university with many facilities to create a well-rounded student of all calibres. However, its not advertised well or the students union thinks it knows what we want. The students are great a lecturers in my opinion generally give a dam.
The university is really good, ive really enjoyed my time here. the facilities have made doing work easy.
So far, the university has been nothing short of perfect. My lecturers are constantly helpful, and any staff around the university will stop at nothing to help any student who needs help. Student inclusion is perfect, as they take into consideration things that affect you but you might not have a diagnosis for yet, which is so helpful. In my time here I have never not felt supported.
Overall, the university has been extremely welcoming and diligent in ensuring the transition into or back into education runs smoothly. The disability aspect is amazing I felt welcomed and the answered all my questions effectively and the staff contacted me swiftly. There is an array of different societies that we are able to join and we are able to create our own. Overall I was in awe at the facilities they are impeccable and high class.

I think the ease of access with the facilities that College Court offer is one of the best features about the accommodation, the laundry facilities and living spaces are perfect
The campus itself has good facilities all within walking distance however the lack of graduate support or career support for finding contacts or properly networking within my own course does leave a lot to be desired. However, the events and activities offered for myself and others to take part in make the campus a good place to both study and socialise in.
The uni is great all of the teachers are understanding and really helpful I have learnt alot and hope to learn more in my final year!

The societies are amazing but they need some work on the financial aspect which is mainly left to students. The teachers are supportive but the actual University itself after the rebrand has become a mess. We signed up to Staffs Uni not Uni of Staffs. We didn't ask for a new logo either. We asked to hire more teachers and not an esports arena.

The accessibility to worksop is very insufficient to finish our coursework. The kiln room, glaze lab especially. The technician of the kiln room and glaze lab is very unhelpful. There is no studio access in weekends. (student from MA ceramics)
This university was the best experience of my life - great location, staff, and atmosphere.
The facilities given to me are amazing and due to the easily accessible training, it's great to be able to practice on them. So many clubs and societies and if you see a gap in the market then the Union helps you set one up. Think my course is still a bit in the dark about careers but that's sure to change The wifi can be a bit iffy like any place, but any queries are sorted with pretty quickly
Poor teaching, hardly know the ins and outs of the film industry. Lack of teaching getting to know editing rather fund on computers instead of new cameras etc.
The university itself is great for the games courses, although other courses don't get as much funding.
Careless lecturers, awful attendance system, outdated course content, failed course reworks (ones that even the average student complains about) and combined with the inaudible nature of the North (Midlands btw) Every lecturer that had any teaching skills and talent left for an actual company Lecture rooms are tiny and feel like you're in some 16th century victorian pub PCs were built by someone who has never built a PC, zero cooling but loaded with 3080s, their solution is to proceed to blame the program developers for crashes instead of their incompetent IT Every single year everything is scuffed no matter what, even after the same lecturer running it for 10 years they still can't get it right, always complications with basic necessities If you need any support, forget it, you probably won't even get a reply to any e-mail enquiry If you have a problem or feedback, good luck trying to get past the arrogance of people who should probably be the least arrogant.

A place you feel you can really belong. A place where you feel you can be you and you are truly accepted. A place that celebrates individuality and encourages you to express your authentic self. All the usual stuff that people review as side (which is also great) … it’s friendly and you feel truly nurtured here. My experience has changed me, helped me to grow academically and personally, and makes me want to achieve more from my life. Everything is well enough. Good study spaces. Some issues with wifi not working but good enough. Happy to be studying here and living near enough as to not need to drive every day.
Uni feels very safe and welcoming, especially coming from a background of being Trans, there is no hate or discrimination which I can truly appreciate.

Pretty good university, but perhaps too much focus on the games courses specifically. Would be better to distribute funds more rather than spending so much on something like eSports, for instance. I'm happy with my course but the foundation year felt like a waste as it was too generalised.
I enjoy being on campus and making use of the social spaces. The Union have made great change over the past few years and it’s been great to see.

The university is very great and there are also a lot of events and entertainments regularly.

Not a university i would recommend as a first choice unless it was one of the subjects they specialise and excel in because that's where the money is spent. If you are on one of these courses you will be awarded with first rate teaching and facilities: if however, your course is like mine it will be budget strapped and marginalised with facilities that are a hangover from the era it was a Polytechnic with variable teaching dependent on the lecturer. I found the careers service laughable, the attitude to classroom disruption a mess and the University is sited in an area that I've never felt a hundred percent safe in: this goes for the wider Stoke On Trent area as it can be a bit suspect in areas like Stoke and Hanley which are very close to the Uni. Both sites are grim. Ember Lounge is fantastic, the Student Union very helpful, Catalyst has a lot of facilities too but if i really wanted to study in Staffs, i would try Keele as it is in a nicer part of the county with a campus feel.

The only main issue I have is that my wifi doesn’t seem to want to connect on the university’s wifi but apart from that it’s amazing

Stafford Campus is Meh in every way.
If you want a campus of bullying including lecturers joining in then go here. I’ve just finished studying here, I joined when covid was bad and felt like lecturers used my year as an excuse to go online even when covid had cleared up just for their own convenience. Students ganging up on other students and lecturers joining in is something that has happened on multiple courses at this university as it’s happened to friends of mine too. They also use this in your grade feedback so it looks bad to other employers in future. You can try hard with your work but if they don’t like you you won’t get anywhere so if you’re good at kissing a$$ this university is perfect for you!

Security is good and there is more than enough equipment and loads of different rooms, motion capture rooms, 3D printing rooms, Pottery rooms, not in a society myself but they all look good and most of the members I’ve met come across as nice and friendly

Staffordshire uni is a brilliant uni to go to, the staff are so supportive and helpful, the campus is really close knit where everyone knows everyone and it feels like a family. The opportunity to be a student ambassador really topped my experience and enabled me to make friends and have fun whilst earning money around my schedule.I couldn’t recommend it enough.
Didn’t really have much of the ‘university experience’ as I had to do my 1st and 2nd year throughout Covid, so I was gutted but still managed to work around it by using platforms.
The campus is on two beautiful sites, with the Catalyst building you an study 24/7 securely with amazing facilities on site. The location is ideal for students who want to go into town or want to be in the countryside. There’s a mix of all ages and the most important thing is the support you will receive here. As a disabled student I thought I would fall behind but I needn’t have worried - I have ongoing support from my lecturers and the last two years feel like five minutes it’s gone so fast. I would do it all over again I enjoy the mix of lectures and workshops we have, and I love the wide open feeling of the Leek Road campus because it never feels like you are hemmed in.

I have been studying in Staffordshire University London and it's been an amazing experience because of the professionalism of academics and diverse culture.
As an international student my experience in Staffs is amazing. All of the faculty is highly educated, supportive and kind. Our curriculum is comprehensive and up-to-date. Staffs is preparing us well for the future issues that we could face in our practical fields.
The tutors are simply amazing. The best support I have received. I love studying adult nursing with having both classroom, clinical, simulation and placements! I don’t feel disadvantaged because of my additional needs. Thank you Staffs!
