I had very good professors and great environment
The University of Leicester offers a vibrant campus life and strong academic programs, with a focus on research and student support . Located in the heart of Leicester, it provides easy access to the city's cultural and professional opportunities.
Amazing scenery even when walking and always nice to stop and look around at the beauty of the nature surrounding the campus.
It’s pretty nice- it’s a decent uni with help available at every step- i would love to see an improvement in careers help tho
the university is very good when it comes to taking care of students’ mental health
University of Leicester’s architecture is alright, nothing that says wow but it does what it needs to. Good services for support
The University of Leicester is a good place to study with a friendly atmosphere and a supportive student community. Lecturers are generally helpful and want students to do well, and the course content is interesting and well organised. The campus has everything you need and is easy to get around, with good study spaces and facilities. Overall, it’s a solid uni experience and a good place to spend your student years.
Very good university with a lot of facilities
It alright and has a decent campus
A diverse university both in term of students and courses. Realiable for the quality of education.
I am currently staying at Student Roost – Regents Court, and I can confidently say it feels like home. The location is excellent, making everything easily accessible. The accommodation is very well structured, and the way the kitchen is designed truly gives a homely feeling rather than just student housing. Before choosing Regents Court, I visited almost every student property in Leicester, but none of them made me feel the way this place did. Regents Court stood out from the rest. I’ve even shown my accommodation to many of my friends, and every single one of them gave very positive feedback about it. The staff here are amazing, especially Mildred Lobo. She is always ready to help students at any time without hesitation. Her caring attitude and friendly, talkative nature make students feel comfortable , almost like a mother and son having a conversation.
This university can be disappointing if you come in as an international student expecting a top-tier British institution. While it fulfills its basic academic functions, the administration feels disorganized and could really use a major overhaul to make processes like tuition payments smoother. The university also needs more library space to accommodate the large number of humanities students. Some professors have strong accents that make them difficult to understand at times, and their lecture materials can be quite disorganized. If I had known all this beforehand, I might have chosen a different place to study.
It been an wonderful experience
Very good, excellent, enjoyed a lot
Everything is easily accessible. You also can get updates from emails from the student union to know what's going on.
University of Leicester is a good university with all needed facilities, and has a good social life.
Great overall experience including everything a student could ask for
My experience living at Student Roost – Regents Court has been really positive. The accommodation is well maintained, clean, and very suitable for students. Common areas are kept tidy, and any issues are dealt with efficiently, which makes day-to-day living comfortable and stress-free. What truly makes Regents Court stand out is the staff support. Adam and Mildred have been extremely friendly, approachable, and supportive in every scenario. Whenever I had a query or needed help—whether related to accommodation, facilities, or general guidance—they were always willing to assist and ensured things were handled smoothly. Their supportive attitude genuinely makes a big difference to the overall living experience. I would definitely recommend Student Roost Regents Court to other students looking for a safe, comfortable place to live with a very supportive team.
It’s a good uni but a lonely city and can put
All really good! Only drawback is the current strikes and the way the university is treating the geography school, students and staff and the lack of support from the student union
The university has very good services there are careers fairs every Friday and services that help with cv and interviews, a lot of different societies for everyone to join, many place to eat on campus and the WiFi is accessible everywhere.
Campus itself is very city intergrated its not its own thing

AMAZING AND CLEAN IT IS VERY SAFE AND STAFF ARE FRIENDLY
i like the study spaces on campus and the facilities such as the multi use spaces
I’ve been in university of leicester for a couple of years and filbert village is a great place to stay! not so far from uni or town
It’s a very mediocre campus, focus on engineering department seems limited. Engineering buildings are old and dated, library is decent but super crowded, the vibe is definetely dated on campus. Newer buildings such as Sir Bob Burgees is excellent, Business campus (Brookfields) is a lot nicer than main campus but it isn’t 24/7
Good accommodation and I like the facilities
Great uni with amazing people and facilities
Great university with a range of support
The best university. I really enjoy my time here and there is so much support at hand

Great I have a good time on the lift is always Brocken in block E
A good university to attend, enjoyed my stay here
Good university, it exceeded my expectations in some areas while being as I expected in others. While there are many things I could say, at the end of the day, I did decide to continue here for masters and that speaks for itself.
Very nice campus with helpful staff.
Good uni and nice social life!!
The University of Leicester provides a generally positive academic experience with good teaching and supportive staff, particularly within lectures and seminars. The campus is well located and facilities such as the library and study spaces are useful, although they can become very busy during peak times. While there are plenty of opportunities to get involved in societies and student life, some services can feel slow or overcrowded at times. Overall, it is a decent university experience with strong academic support, but there is room for improvement in organisation and facilities availability.
Campus is a nice site, and there are great food services. Lots of sport and leisure societies
Good university with great staff involved
good university and good value for
Good university, very diverse and a friendly atmosphere
Great experience good lessons and good to interact with people and teachers
Great facilities including Charles Wilson library.
My experience at the University of Leicester has been very positive. The campus and facilities are modern, well-maintained, and provide great spaces for both studying and relaxing. There are lots of clubs and societies, making it easy to meet people and get involved in different interests. The Students’ Union is well organised, active, and supportive, and really adds to the overall student experience. The careers service is generally helpful and communicates well, offering useful guidance when needed. Internet and Wi-Fi have been reliable throughout my time here, which has been essential for studying and day-to-day work. Overall, it’s a welcoming university with a good balance of academic support and student life.
Nice facilities and su has lots of food places
A good campus with everything that you would need
Good uni, lots of advice and education
Fantastic academic institution!
Good university I enjoyed my past year here.
So far okay, not much to say really
great experience and very inclusive and range of activities and clubs and societies
great experience with many and made lots of friends
Good university with good, accessible facilities
Got everything needed, facilities there are some that are good some average. Societies there’s a lot of and standard support services for students.
there is a wide variety of clubs to choose from and the university is located quite centrally in the city if Leicester so there are lots of great places to try nearby and places to go
Excellent university. Easy to make friends and a good study space.
Overall good i like studying here
Good facilities and good and helpful staff
Decent university, they need to deal with construction issues and staff
This is a brilliant university. The campus is beautiful and amenities on the campus is amazing!
Great university, came for an open day and fell in love with it
Beautiful school ,beautiful education.
Sports facilities are terrible and there’s only one library for the whole school not many study places available
Overall, Newarke Street offers more than just accommodation — it provides a supportive community which you are able to connect with and live in a safe environment with no risk of danger coming , during the academic year . If you’re searching for student accommodation, this should be your first choice — you really don’t need to look anywhere else. Overall, Newarke Street offers more than just accommodation — it provides a supportive community which you are able to connect with and live in a safe environment with no risk of danger coming , during the academic year .
The university is fairly respectable and the physics department is full of hard working staff that make studying here great. I joined the department for the atmosphere and was not disappointed! I will be proud to have a degree from this department going forward, and have had many incredible experiences with some leading members in their research fields. The university itself however feels like recently it does not care for its students, only whether or not you pay your tuition. They lay off whole departments of academics and then the vice chancellor gives himself pay rises and awards. This is blatantly not right!
Lovely and welcoming. Amazing staff
Good university with supportive staff and the facilities are top class
Great experience as it is quite welcoming
Great campus with an amazing student union however the student support is slightly lacking
honestly don’t spend that much time on campus. prefer to work from the flat. needs more bins.
It’s been very good studying and living in Leicester. Facilities are really easy to access and to use which is very good. The WiFi is good enough for studying and for lecture use, which also enables students to have more face to face interactions with their peers. Overall the experience in Leicester has been great.
I have been so thankful to join this university as a student going into law. It is such a diverse university and has great connections to the top employers in London. The societies are amazingly organised which is a credit to the students but the SU is very helpful in giving their support and guidance. Various food options cost friendly and then some staying up with the trends so plenty to choose from. I really enjoy all the social spaces, there are options for more quiet study like in the Library and then some for more friendly activities. Everyone respects the rules of the zone they are in which is also a plus. Campus regularly has different fairs or stalls going on for cute shopping moments and also host lots of fun events such as the Winter Wonderland this year. I think the university could benefit from more funding and dealing with large scale issues such as strikes but that is all really.
Good university, but a lot of the buildings are under repair works.
Uni of Leicester is good. Nothing to complain about
The university has amazing social spaces
enjoying my time here. Simply lovely!
Great areas to study aswell as lecturers are easy to find on campus
It’s okay. I’m generally satisfied and happy.
Decent university but the campus is old and small.
Regents court has really friendly staff, Mildred and Maisy are always happy to help and offer support.
i love my university and i think the student union is amazing with lovely staff
Ming university I recommend it
Very nice looking university with a large campus
I can’t say how dissatisfied I am with this university. If we talk about the facilities, the WiFi never works, you are placed in a different, cold, tiny room every seminar. The library is always full so you have to find a noisy, cramped space to study. I did a masters here. It felt like a beginner course. I got no support, I take some responsibility for my grades dropping but the standard of teaching was genuinely shocking. It’s probably because the Vice Chancellor decided to pocket all the money and has sacked all of the actual lectures. Staff have been threatening to student activists. It doesn’t matter if you agree or don’t agree with the politics of the students, the staff were willing to be abusive towards their own students. This is a massive safety risk. I was completely unmotivated here. The career service will send you an email once a year saying there’s three jobs in London you don’t have the qualifications to apply for. Utterly useless, please do not come here!!!
Facilities are a bit old but overall a good campus but could do with some renovation and make it more modern.
I’m really enjoying my time at leicester so far. Good work life balance and friendly environment
Enjoying my course studying computer science as a second year. Good range of services however a lot of lecture buildings are outdated.
Enjoying my time here, would say that WiFi needs to be improved
