Read George Eliot Reviews
The introverts dream - if you're the kind of person that will likely stay in their room a lot and keep to themselves, you will love these halls. However, if you plan on being social you'll probably not enjoy these halls. Since everyone is split up into 4s and sectioned on each floor, it's very isolating. I was worst off as out of the 12 people in the flat, the two missing people - one girl who dropped out and a second international who barely interacted with us and was never there in general - were on my floor, meaning my floor was a ghost town by the end of the year as it was just me and my mate. The uni experience of knocking on someones door to hang out or running into people and just hanging out as a flat is just not here - i've noticed a lot of people complain about how their flat wasn't really a close unit. A huge issue I have is with the cleanliness of the kitchen. One bin between 12 people isnt enough!
I love George Eliot, I'm going to miss it next year. The kitchen is modern and the bedroom are double with lots of storage. The bathroom is shared with one other person and is cleaned weekly. The staff at the hall reception are also very friendly.
