I stayed in Grange House flat 201 room 1 for 3 weeks before dropping out for reasons unrelated! I wanted to make a review as there is very little information regarding Grange House online and available from YSJ and thought it might help others considering accomodation on The Grange. My room was very spacious with a large ensuite - there is a good attention to detail with the rooms which have been refurbished in recent years eg a hand towel rail and large storage under the bed. The rooms in Grange House are all very different but have a more cozy feel compared to St Mary's House which is located opposite and have a bit of character with the 3 sash windows in my room overlooking the courtyard filled with wildflowers! Value for money with this flat was great - I would have paid £5900 for the year and I think it's worth the money compared to other halls of residence. It's location is good - only 8 minute walk from the uni campus and 15 mins into the centre of York.
