Love it here at Constantine. Rooms are excellent and great community spirit.
Not a particularly brilliant college. As the youngest one (built in 2014) it unfortunately has next to no college spirit. The main social space (The Forum) is NEVER used by anyone. Cleaners are pointless. We end up doing most of the work and cleaning ourselves. When they do come they're usually noisy at around 8am. Socially, the college is quiet. For about 3/4 of the year, there is no buzz in the college whatsoever. You can rarely hear a party or any socials around or see any lights on so the whole place feels abandoned. A plus is the Glasshouse bar (in Langwith, the college next door), however it's vary rare that people can be bothered to go, even if its only 100m away. In general, the whole of Hes East is a pretty poor location. There is no shop, not many social areas and it's generally a bit barren. It is still under development so in maybe a decade it'll be decent, but for now, avoid it. On the plus side, the accommodation itself is beautiful.

A great college, with plenty of opportunity to get involved in student politics.
You get what you pay for. The social life and events could be better but you can always go to the main campus or into town for that. I love the location as there are many places to go for walks, people might prefer to be closer to west campus but that's not me.
Absolutely barren in terms of socialization opportunity, the halls were decent quality but in poor state (cracks, stains, broken things) to say we were the first occupants in the newly built buildings.
I love Constantine, it's brand new so clean and homely and the staff are lovely. Social experience is great lots of good events. Very happy here and have grown as a person through attending all the events put on by the CSA
I loved it there, but it is pricy and quite out of the way. If your course is on Hes West, you might struggle a bit.
Clean, well-furnished, good storage
Lovely atmosphere, great community and a lot of hard work put in by the student association to hold events and activities throughout the year. The more you put in the more you take away from the college. The college team and tutors are brilliant at handling all situations thrown their way and wellbeing support available is second to none.
Having been in another college in my first year at York, I moved the brand new Constantine out of curiosity and a good experience of college life. I've never made a better decision. The college is the greenest and most modern at York, and college life is fresh, naturally social and inclusive. Its been a year of nothing but fun and opportunity!
Constantine College wasn't my first choice of accommodation as it is both a new college and quite far away from the main campus. Unfortunately this college is very quiet as a result and getting the most out of your time at York will be hindered if you pick it, despite it having the best kitchen and bedroom facilities out of all of the halls. I spent most of my time in course mates flats as a result, don't make the mistake I did, it isn't worth it!
good accommodation! Could not fault the buildings themselves. but very little social events that cater for the standard university freshers. Largely international student orientated. Unpleasant cleaners and poor level of cleaning

Constantine is lush. It's brand new and just looks gorgeous. The ensuites are easily hotel standard and the comfort of the rooms is outstanding. The committee are always organising events and socials so it is almost impossible not to make new friends. Oh and the Glasshouse is only a two minute walk away which means Marmite (the best club night ever) is only two minutes away as well.
Constantine college is new and very nice to live in, though it is quiet and has almost no college atmosphere/spirit. Heslington east has no shop and is out of the way of main campus making everything more difficult and frustrating.
Best college at the University of York in terms of standard of accommodations, its the newest and nicest.
A brand new college, a little more expensive as it is premium but rooms and kitchens are nice as they haven't been used previously. Cleaning is immaculate and regular. There is a common room but no bar here, but there is a bar very close by (2 minutes walk).
Fines for cleaning are overpriced
