My main issue with my halls is the price compared to how much is actually provided. We get a set "wage" of electricity and gas, but if we go over it we have to pay extra; we have to pay for toilet paper, the shower curtains are lousy and don't keep the water in the shower. There are only 4 washing machines and 4 driers for the whole complex (roughly 350 people). I wouldn't mind all of this if the accommodation were cheap, but considering the price, it isn't worth it.
The hot water situation is ridiculous, and the cleaners don't provide toilet roll like on campus for some reason, and only clean the bathrooms it seems, but other than that it's pretty good. The rooms are a decent size, and the kitchen has enough storage space for all seven residents. Overall, I'd say 7.5 out of 10.
Great flats right in between campus and town, and right across the road from tescos!!! I've some people have had problems before but personally I loved my flat and had no major problems, and any minor problems were quickly fixed.
Looks nice on the outside, inside is mouldy and damp. Bathroom/wet room only adds to this problem. I have lived in worse conditions, but the mould is extremely off putting. I don't think it is good value for money. You can hear EVERYTHING - the doors slam so loudly, walls are paper thin and you hear the people living above/below you on top of this. Bring ear plugs for the times you actually want to sleep and not drink.
Horrible porters and staff
not very safe
