During my experience through the year 2019-2020 I had to live with silverfish (bugs) , I asked 3 times for this to be sorted throughout the year however all they done was put more traps down. There was a night where they gave me keys to another room, I was not surprised that I was also greeted by silverfish (bugs) in that room. My flatmates were awful making our kitchen a mess all year long even though I tried to come to terms and keep it tidy.
My building is good value for money when you compare it to other accommodations as there are other buildings which are more expensive but worse than mine, it is located right by the town centre which is good as it is only a 15 minute walk max to the furthest university building. It is right next to the nightlife making it a lot safer to travel around during your first year. The staff are all friendly. The only downside is the cleaners barely clean our kitchen when they come to do it and we are not sure as to why but they also took our curtains!!
Definitely b****** enjoying ur midnight cooking roommate n constantly ringing fire alarm. Everyday you can get free exercise cuz the lift will take u five minutes to walk there. Best selling point is that u can chilling as hell during the winter time, thanks to the economic heater. PS, your bed is just below the window, wind will be good for ur health
Its alright, better than some of the other halls but the majority of the kitchens are too small for the entire flat to be in there, although they're done up nicely. The heating doesn't really work so its freezing all the time, and there is also nobody from unite working in the building after the desk shuts and on weekends. If you have a problem, you have to go across the street to another accommodation building and hope theres someone there. But the furnishing is really nice and there are study rooms and a higher ratio of laundry services :students than in other buildings. It's quite expensive for what you get.
