Lyddon Hall was great to live in for first year! Catered food was decent too. I didn't live in the main hall but one of the annexes - 32 Springfield Mount. IF you're luck enough to get into that one you can look forward to a garden and walking distance from the union/campus :) The cleaners are v friendly and thorough. Best Wishes. P.S. - If you plan on having parties security seems to completely forget this place so you're safe

Honestly the best halls to start your uni experience. Was in main hall so was always in the common rooms for prees, this meant you mixed with the majority of the other 50 people in main hall rather than just a flat of 6. Also the variety and timings of food provided really aliviated any stress about having to shop and cook and meant you made solid friendships as you always went to eat together
Variety of accommodations, you will get your pick!
Living at Lyddon has been an amazing experience, everyone knows each other and it is the best halls Leeds University has to offer.
Nice place to live in, clean, chilled, nice peeps
Lyddon hall Otley run was proper good
I love this Hall. I've met my favourite people here, and coming back to my room every night quickly felt like home.
I am writing this as a resident in 13-23 cromer terrance, off of Lyddon main hall :) As this is the largest annex with 3 floors, you find yourself in a large group to go out with rather than 6 people in a smaller flat. On each of the floors there are 16 people - floor 1 is mixed, floor 2 is all girls and floor 3 is all boys. You are told that there are 2 common rooms but they are in the main hall and if you are not in the main hall, you won't really find yourself here as it is very separated. In relation to where we 'hang out' it would be in one of the 4 kitchens that are all very large which is good when everyone in the hall is gathered here before a night out - or in someones room. Due to the fact that this is a catered accommodation you mix far more with your flatmates than self-catered as you arrange to go for dinner all together and get to know each other this way as well as nights out. The food here is so nice and quite a selection.
Good halls, very expensive but worth it.
