Kelvin Court Biography
The University of Glasgow is fifteen minutes away from Kelvin Court via Kelvingrove Park. The accommodation is located in the West End and is within walking distance of bakeries, eateries, shops, cafes, green spaces, galleries, museums and culture. You can enjoy being mere minutes away from Byres Road and Argyle Street.
You can challenge a friend to a game of ping pong in the common room or join one of the events in the outdoor social space when the sun is out. For your benefit, there is car parking and vending machines on-site. When needing to get work done, you can make use of the communal study space.
Made up of 7 blocks surrounding a courtyard garden, Kelvin Court has en-suite rooms with a shared kitchen and lounge, as well as private studios to choose from.

Yes the property is mostly U of G students, we have a lot of rooms at this property that are nominated (or pre sold) to the Uni who mostly sell them on to 1st year students.

All the Answers You Need About Student Accommodation
What tenancy length do I need?
Some students choose to stay during the academic year, whilst others – particularly international students – require a tenancy that covers the entire year. You can also find student accommodation that is available for one or two terms, classified as a “short stay” on our search filters.
Should I stay in catered student accommodation?
This is totally up to you! Catered accommodation means you will be served meals at set times in a dining hall, and you’ll likely have access to fewer kitchen facilities than if you were to stay in self-catered accommodation.
What is a guarantor and do I need one?
A guarantor is a person who signs a contract to agree to pay your rent if you are unable to. Most university accommodation requires a guarantor, and this applies to both domestic and international students.
Will I need to pay a deposit on student accommodation?
Most likely, yes, you’ll need to pay a deposit. This will be refunded at the end of your stay as long as there is no damage to the room or property.
What bills will my rent include?
If you are staying in university-run accommodation or private halls, your rent should include any utilities such as electricity, gas, water, and internet. Students are not required to pay council tax, however you may need to fill in an exemption form so make sure you check with your local council.
What is purpose-built student accommodation?
Purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) are residential buildings designed for students. They are often located close to campus, boast modern facilities, include all bills, and often have staff on site to assist residents.
Will my student accommodation be furnished?
Student accommodation is typically fully furnished. Your room should include at least a bed, clothes storage, desk and chair. You’ll likely need to bring things such as bedding and kitchen utensils, but we have a full list here of everything you’ll need.

An excellent location, with good quality facilities. I have a wonderful network of friends here with great flatmates and such a cozy environment. There are always ways to improve but comparatively to where my friends stay this is definitely one of the best!

Really great overall, really my only issue is with my roommates and that's not on you guys. I will say my shower leaks but I've had people in and they said it's not a big deal so I will trust them. Overall very positive experience with the environment and staff.

The appearance of the accommodation does not match the cost. This is one of the most expensive accommodations and newest but the property is not taken care of well. Many things were very dirty when I moved in and lots of things are broken or not taken care of properly.

Get what you pay for, when I have a issue they respond fairly quickly(within 1-2 days), they host a variety of socials to keep members engaged both in the residence and on trips. Easy to collect packages, just make sure to look at available times. One spot for improvement would definitely be laundry, not a ton of washers and dryers for the amount of residents and I hate having to pay of it on top of rent as a broke student.

The staff here are so kind and lovely! When I was being harassed during my first week by other students, they quickly moved me into a new flat and took my fears seriously. The rooms are lovely and the location is right next to the uni so I can come home to make lunch. I highly recommend this accommodation.

kelvin court is definitely on the more expensive side, but the large beds, nice bedrooms, large kitchens, and private bathrooms (with excellent showers!) are difficult to complain about.

This is a very nice accommodation, best one in glasgow I would say. It is expensive, but very worth it. The management is always helpful and the rooms are spacious and nice.

Modern rooms with lots of storage, good bathroom and all the facilities you could need. Kitchen is well equipped and a nice living space. Only comment would be that we don’t have cleaners to help maintain the shared kitchen space despite this accommodation being more expensive than the others which have cleaners.

UniteStudents Kelvin Court is a 10-minute walk from the university and has a friendly and helpful team of staff members. Moreover, the room maintenance requests are dealt with promptly. Compared to the prices of other student accommodations in the area, Kelvin Court is good value for money.

The amenities are very nice and I appreciate the wooden flooring in the rooms, makes it feel much more cleaner and hygienic than the traditional carpeted dorms. It is a bit more on the expensive side, but the facilities are pretty good, just wish it was easier to meet others in your building

Kelvin court staff are sooo nice, they drop everything to help once there is a problem. The rooms are so convenient, they handle the packages with care, and I love this place especially because as an international student far away from home, they have been so welcoming!

I lived in Kelvin Court for my first year of university and had a great experience. The rooms were well-furnished, and the common areas were always clean and well-maintained. The location was also perfect, just a short walk from campus and all the shops and restaurants. I was particularly impressed with the level of support from the staff. Colin and Dan were always available to help with any problems, big or small. They were always friendly and helpful, and they really went the extra mile to make sure I had a positive experience. I would definitely recommend Kelvin Court to other students. It's a great place to live, and the staff are second to none. I am very grateful for the help that Colin and Dan gave me during my time at Kelvin Court. They made my first year of university a much more enjoyable experience.

I like the accommodation but the most annoying thing is I call for the maintenance to change my mattress but they fooled me 3 times

Hi, The Unite Team at Kelvin Court have been nothing short of amazing! They are a friendly and welcoming bunch. KC is pretty good, all the equipments are supported well. AND I love the study room the best. The staffs are very friendly and helpful, especially Dan! He helps me a lot

Very nice, I love to continue live here. But there is a problem that the signal inside the first floor room is really bad, normally only have one grid of signal, not convenient for receiving the phone call.

rlly cute bedrooms, big kitchen and fun common room - also the staff are sooo lovely, helpful n chatty, especially Tara who was rlly sweet helping me book my room in the first place !!!

I stayed at Kelvin Court in 20-21 and I couldn't recommend it more!! The rooms are a great size, with lots of natural light and wooden floors. The bathroom shower and sink worked amazingly, and I never had any problems with my room. The kitchen is relatively basic but never failed - and the sofas were leather so easily cleaned! The location was great for Uni of Glas - really close to a Tescos and Sainsburys as well as a few cafes, and the nearest subway to town is a 15 minute walk across the river. Shout out to the site manager Mark - an absolute legend!! Always there to help us with any problems on site.
