Ugly from the outside, but all of the benefits of Sallies without the noise at night
Great central location, with common rooms and dining space in St Salvators hall. This does mean a short walk for meals but it is worth it. A small community, very chilled out environment with nice study spaces available.
On the outside Gannochy looks pretty awful but on the inside the facilities are great. The showers are high-powered and the heaters don't break down. It is nice to have my own individual room but a large shared kitchen with plenty of room to store my food. It is great that we also have access to the Sallies facilities such as the Dining Hall, Common Room, Library and Basement. Overall I was really pleased with this hall.
Good community feel, love eating at sallies but still being able to experience the chateaux
It was a modern s*** in town
I love being in Gannochy, it may not look great from the outside, but the rooms inside are lovely (well the refurbished ones are anyway!) and the people are brilliant. Being able to use the facilities in Sallies is a plus, but I've loved it this year and have made some amazing friends.
