I have lived in the McDonald Road accommodation since my first year at uni. Their studio apartments are very spacious and have a great layout. The staff are all very welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful. The location is great with only a 20 minute walk to the city centre and bus stops are only a few minutes walk away. Make sure to read the descriptions on the rooms as the studio do not come with a microwave or toaster (it doesn’t say on the website that they do anyway). Overall I have had a great stay and will be coming back to live here for my final year.

Really nice!!!I’m celebrating CNY with my roommates!!
6 Mcdonald road tbh this year has been overpriced at 5700 pound no kettle, toaster or microwave, ironing board available, we were provided with a kettle and toaster months after moving in. one fridge freezer for 5 people which has had its challenges. The desk in the room is far to small and not realistic to get uni work done on. despite paying 5700 pound there are only 2 washing machines in the whole complex for over 100 people and one of these has been continually breaking throughout the year. however, despite these issues the staff at this complex are lovely. The location is great 10 minute walk to waverly. A co-op right outside and a tesco and sainburys close by. I would recommend staying here for students despite the issues mentioned above.
Dreadful Internet, have to use Ethernet cable as wireless is too slow. One of the freezers in the kitchen doesn't work. For just under £5,700 the value for money is atrocious. Biggest upside to the accommodation is its great location, minutes from the uni and the nightlife. Also flat G32 is up there for the good nightlife.
