Tramways would be a whole hearted recommendation to anyone considering booking student accommodation in Chester. The space is lovely and the staff in reception will help with any situation no matter how silly it may be. Especially Amy who gave me a cream egg to write this review.

Q&A

Hi, you can certainly book in the same flat as your friend.
If we have both people's details we can allocate both rooms in the same flat.
Even if different room types have been booked this is something we should still be able to do.

Useless Management, money grabbers, scammers and con artists.
Amazing facilities, nearby train station and city centre and lovely staff.
Very helpful and supportive staff. I feel completely safe living at tramways and never have any issues. I would definitely recommend and have rebooked for next year! Modern and good quality accommodation.
Very positive, lay out is lovely, staff are very friendly and always happy to help.
Amazing friendly staff, really nice accommodations, great cooking facilities 😏
Amazing staff really helpful and feels like home. ;)
Great for uni of Chester students, good place to make new friends, really friendly team!
Not a great experience with Tramways for my first year. Do not feel security is as great as they make out, as there was a flood in a block over three weeks ago which caused electrics to be out of use which includes no elevator use or security for the main block door (don't need key fob to access the block). Some staff aren't helpful at all after expressing concerns over security they explain there's nothing they can do and that they have extra security on site due to this issue, yet the next day I come back to find the large gates left open at 10pm for any random person to walk into the grounds. As proof of this lack of security, I walked into my kitchen last Saturday morning to over 6 random boys been let into our flat by another flatmate off their heads on drugs. There is no parking facilities, don't get given much help with technical faults you just get given a laid back, can't be bothered attitude by staff who keep you in the dark about most things. Wouldn't recommend Tramways
Extremely please with my experience here at Tramways, with friendly staff and gorgeous accommodation rebooked my room for next year!

Tramways is brilliant Accomodation! It’s right next to the train station, a short 15 minute walk from town, and. 20 minute walk from Kingsway Creative Campus (UOC) The staff at Chester are always on call, and are so helpful and friendly. They always put on events that cater to everyone, from pop quiz’s to health and well being events!
Tramways is a lovely environment and the bedroom space even in a bronze is fab! The social space is ok but isn’t used by students as well as it could be. The location is great and well secure with gates and perfect distance for town and campus. The staff are very friendly and always there to help!
Such an amazing place to live, brilliant for all years of study, not just first year! Always brilliant and inclusive events each months, and a brilliant team of staff!!
Tramways team members are so friendly and always happy to help in any situation given! Overall very lovely accommodation too.
Modern, spacious flats with a relaxing feel. Quiet by day, can be noisy by night.
Great location, wasn’t spotless when I first arrived, however the WiFi is strong with nice facilities and cooperative/friendly reception staff. Accommodation is new and modern, slightly pricy but great all round.
Staff are very friendly and approachable with any queries.
Since moving here in September I have felt at home and safe which has made my uni experience much more enjoyable. The staff are lovely and helpful with any issues or problems that I have!
All of the staff are really friendly and care a lot about the residents that live here. Kitchens can often be left untidy due to residents but is no fault of tramways but is something to be aware of. Rooms are small for what you pay but do the job. Definitely one of the better student properties and very high quality for the price point. Very modern, friends have called it a miniature village haha.
I feel really safe at tramways, the staff are always lovely and willing to have a chat with you. The environment is friendly and it’s always clean. I feel Tramways is in a very good location as it’s not too far away from town or the post office.
Good events all year round, the friendliest management who go above and beyond to help with anything
Stayed here for 3 years and couldn’t fault it at all, staff are friendly, always feel safe and at home!
Good experience living with friends and security is 24 hour so I always feel safe
Lived at Tramways one year and now The Towpath and they are both as bad as each other. Tramways rooms are small, you would need at least a gold to feel like you have enough room for all your things. The shared flat kitchens are small and you always have arguments so its not worth living in them. The studios are not worth what you pay for them when you can somewhere else for the same price or cheaper. Happy to say for my last year i'm steering clear of Student Roost, Tramways itself just holds too many students i feel and is WAY to far from the campus. Wouldn't suggest!

Tramways is an ideal student accommodation with shops and the train station within walking distance. The staff on site are accommodating and friendly and always assist with any problems. The room itself is good value for money with lots of storage and the communal areas are always clean. I have had an amazing student experience here, and I would highly recommend Tramways to all students in all years!
Gorgeous rooms, modern and bright, great location close to the City Centre!!
It’s a great place to live, a little far from main campus though. Very near to the city center and the train station making nights out really easy
