made friends for life in these halls, the rooms are basic but very clean and right outside the student union - which is good for drunken nights but not when you have to be up early the next morning! fisher house will become your home from home, but it could be cheaper

Not worth the money you pay in comparison to other halls. One common room for whole building is no where near enough which makes it difficult to make friends. Rooms are very basic and okay if you're only looking for bare minimum but definitely not something you'd call a home. Didn't end up staying at the uni for long due to transferring, accommodation wasn't the main reason but was certainly a contributing factor. One of the only good points is that the catering staff are really friendly and helpful but overall not worth the money you're paying.
Generally decent. Location for food is perfect, and is positioned as one of the closest halls on campus to town and the SU bar/shop. However, the cost of £140 a week is ridiculous when compared with Sumner houses bedrooms and Grosvenor House's overall quality completely outshines Fisher House.
One side suffers due to the Student Union bar which means you can't get a good sleep on nights such as Friday, thankfully first year is easy and if you're not going out Friday then you're missing out!
