I would advise anyone thinking of living in Hodge Hall to visit the accommodation first. You can hear when your neighbour is using the bathroom, which not the best experience, especially when you may be working or sleeping a few feet away.

Really enjoyed my first year here. The rooms were nice and communal areas were spacious. Not much to complain about other than the fire alarm checks. Always seemed to check the fire alarms multiple times over the space of 2 hours. Very frustrating as they were at random times throughout the 2 hours. After talking to other students in the other halls, this was only a problem in Francis Crick halls. As the fire alarms were only tested once in the other halls. Understandable that they have to check the alarms but continuously at random times, very annoying especially when the other halls aren't tested like that.
