My experience might be unique since I have stayed in Kirkgate Residence for 4 years. The furniture was all second-hand and wear off when I left. I felt diassapointed when Kirkgate Residence deducted 200£ from my deposit for what they claimed "cleaning, repair and maintenance", especially after I have paid nearly 28,000£ for the last 4 years, and even recommended my friends to stay with Kirkgate Residence. When you moved in, they were very welcomed and nice; but when you moved out they tried to find ways to keep your deposit. Even when I asked for proof of 200£, the manager tried to divert me to the maintenance team and said she was busy ???? This is unaccepted behaviour, and I wish future tenants consider carefully to stay with Kirkgate Residence, especially international students like me. Hope my post helpful!

House is mouldy. Lots of silver fish. Lots of insects. Ventilators don't work. No one cares to fix it if it's not working even though if u complain about it no one takes action. Everything is old and broken in the room. Staff is very rude.
