As an LSE student I’ll try to be completely unbiased. It’s one of the hardest no-nonsense Russell Group unis with a vibrant culture for people interested in learning, developing and making something out of themselves. If you’re doing a quantitative course like me you’ll be displeased with the people you meet but the opposite can be said if you’re in a more qualitative course. I guess LSE attracts smart people, and many smart people aren’t the most pleasant to hang out with. Careers Staff aren’t really concerned with you because they very much believe if you’re at LSE, you know what you want and it is a thing here with the plethora of career oriented societies you’ll here about. Many people hate the mindless hustle culture at LSE. I’m all in for the grind but the sheer number people who do it with the sole aim of becoming a corporate crony will leave you baffled. I was like that in my first year and realised, that you’ve got to think on what you want to do here before coming to LSE.

My experience as a masters student has been positive and it was as I expected. I am overall satisfied. Perhaps not enough societies for masters/phd students
Good enough, great access to resources
LSE facilities are more than satisfactory, but the life is very stressful.
In terms of my programme, it was a brilliant learning experience, with no complaints from my end. However, the strikes this year was a big hit to the financial value of the course, especially for someone like me who is here on loan. It was quite sad to see that the school's administration was not quick to respond the requests, making my course experience miserable during the Lent term.
Lots of support from academic staff but communication from professional services could be much improved.
LSE is competitive yet friendly and is the best place to be if you are an economist
Amazing experience overall! Learned a lot.
LSE is a prestigious school but the student experience really depends on the major and department
Although my honest reviews for the categories above are good, this does not negate the fact that LSE is an exploitative institution that treats students as a commodity. I have first-hand felt myself being treated as a commodity within this capitalist institution throughout my master's degree.
Amazing Uni, too career opportunities.
