Everything is perfect. I'm a design student, and the facilities are brand new, and the school always smells good. Clubs and student councils host new events every week, allowing you to participate in a variety of events for a small fee. The professors are friendly and give me accurate feedback on where I need to improve, and they even offer career counseling. They even email me with any job openings. Wi-Fi is free if you sign up for an account. I absolutely do not regret coming to this university.

Haven’t communicated with the career support yet but planning in the near future
Great university for both international and local students.
very nice campus, access to many areas- lots of space, resources, helpful, kind people (staff and students), shops on campus, walkable.
Very good university with good quality lectures. Library is very big so a lot of space to study and focus.
university is good, offers a lot of information to help out with.
Really enjoying this uni, all the facilities are great!
great experience since starting uni, in first year so was nervous but have found it alright since starting
I love Northumbria sports is very great
Enjoying everything about the university so far
Good University with good amenities (library, cafes and restaurants). Your lecturers can be hit or miss - you can get very good ones who are good at engaging students and make the content interesting, or get ones that although you can tell are trying their best, present content in a boring an uninteresting manner with little enthusiasm - almost seemingly like they are doing so because they're being forced. Although, this is most universities and isn't limited to Northumbria. The SU is very active and hosts many societies and activities for students to take part in. It's also very straightforward for students to create their own society, needing only a minimum of 10 other students interested to start an Application. Good university with well-maintained facilities and a highly active students union.

Internet/wifi adequate, mostly good around the building. 5 starts for career service so far, haven’t used the service in depth yet as I am in my first year however we cover the area a lot on my Business Management course.
Everything is quite close together, staff are helpful and friendly, and facilities are good too. The students union bar is cheap, and there’s cafes in my lecture building which is nice for breaks between classes.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We love our campus too! For those who haven’t seen it yet, you can view our virtual tours or even come along to our next Open Event.

I have been in this Uni for over 2 years now, and safe to say this is the only Uni that seems to be very much involved, in terms of academic support, student well-being and student activities and events. Other major universities I have been in weren't as involved as Northumbria is. Enjoying my time here so far.

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback, we're very happy that you feel supported during your studies with us. The wifi suffers from interference with some walls being too thick or some lecture halls too high or low and with no wifi boosters to assist. Some campus buildings need updating as some still look like they are around the time they were designed and built and stuck that way.

Great university especially for my course. We have access to a mock courtroom where we can compete in moots which have been very useful for my development and understanding of legal argument. There is also the student law office where we can contribute positively to real-life cases from the public. However, beyond academics, the Students Union also offers several opportunities especially during freshers week to socialise and enjoy oneself, such as hosting comedy nights, open mic nights and drag show nights. Furthermore, Northumbria offers events under 'Be Part Of It' such as discounted fitness classes, cinema and theatre viewings, baking and cooking workshops, outdoor experiences etc. which are a really great way to meet like-minded people and get a taste for new experiences.

My journey at Northumbria started the day I registered my interest to study there. Even though most of the information one needs can be found on the website, my enquiry emails were always responded to and quite on time. The entire application, admission, tuition and CAS journey were seamless. I’m finally on campus, the staff are very supportive and I look forward to a great academic year.

Modern facilities and consistently improving them. Quality of teaching is of an amazing standard, most lecturers are available at any time and help in any way they can. Lots of events throughout the year, special events for Christmas, St Patrick’s day etc. Very diverse university and makes everyone feel included and welcomed. Great college in Newcastle, with good facilities in sports centre as well as Academic help
I like going to this uni and feel I’m learning allot
The university is honestly good to say it’s classed as a ‘mid-range’ university. Teaching staff are super helpful and supportive. Not much to complain about :)
Northumbria is a great place to study, facilities are great, the work areas can get very busy sometimes but that is expected. The only complaint I have is the PCs not always working, and the mouse being faulty. Other than that, the student union have plenty of activities to keep busy and the gym facilities are great, it's been great studying here.
great university underrated and if more people looked more positively it could become a real student social hub rather than just a university
Great location, Great community
I love this uni so much, I love how supported I am by the lecturers
Not much to complain about - the Internet does go down from time to time, which has affected me in the past, and it can take up to a week to fix, but overall I have been happy with my time at Northumbria and I am excited to come back as a Postgraduate student next academic year.

Northumbria University has got great laboratory facilities.
A friendly place to study, with great modern facilities and helpful staff
Overall being a student at Northumbria is an amazing experience. It doesn’t feel like studying it feels fun and engaging in a way that entices you to learn. The lecturers are friendly and helpful with any problems or questions solved quickly. Despite being a profesional environment, the lecturers treat you like a peer which makes attending feel easy.
Great university, great society’s, great job opportunities. I do Law and the Student Law Office has created unique, amazing experience and transferable skills for me.
Coming to Study at Northumbria University is one of my best decisions this year yet, I have had to study in a beautiful environment and strict discipline to schedules and time, it has allowed me connect with different people from w=different walks of life, the facilities in the university has just been very amazing from using the library to road maps to ensure you never get lost on campus, to the access to great connectivity between students and Professors, and accessibility to reach out individuals and also the universal accessibility across all buildings and functions of the university system, where you can see the practical use of all you are being thought, including the extracurricular activities and also the sport facilities provided in the university, I must just say that I love it in this school.
Good for international students and domestic. Friendly staff. Sometimes problems with maintenance. However quite quick walk to northumbria uni.
great uni. loving studying here
The staff are extremely friendly and always willing to help when needed. Maintenance tasks are always done in a very timely manner and completed to a good standard. The facilities are very new and good quality and the rooms are very cosy and welcoming. Couldn’t recommend this place more as I have lived here personally for 3 years now.
Great university with great facilities.
Northumbria University has been a solid choice for studying Business Management—it's got the right mix of academic challenge, practical learning, and a buzzing student scene. The course itself is well-structured, with lecturers who actually know their stuff and bring in real-world insights rather than just reading off slides. There’s a big focus on employability too, with guest speakers, networking events, and placement opportunities that actually feel useful. The facilities are great, especially the library, which is open 24/7 (a lifesaver during deadline season). The business school has a modern feel, and there are plenty of spaces to work, whether you need a quiet spot to focus or somewhere to collaborate. Outside of academics, the student life is what really makes Northumbria stand out. The campus is right in the middle of Newcastle, so everything—food spots, bars, music venues—is within walking distance.
Love it, don’t have issues often enough to complain x
