Trent is pretty f****** good, lovely campus with a brilliant SU, the student support is great, the campuswide wifi is pretty poor though (on clifton anyway.)
The equipment such as PCs and printers outdated. Constantly breaking down with no repairs done out of hrs. This is due to the rental of dated equipment. The library looks great but isn't big enough for all the students in peak times. The whole university is geared with making money as its number one priority. Not the students. The sports clubs are elitist, you need several hundred pounds to take part in them, but be warned they are cliquey The student union is not fit for task it doesn't represent the interests of the students. Regularly overhyping consesions they have achieved from the university, that frankly were going to happen regardless. They have fixed price taxi fairs which are a min of £1 more expensive than normal none student price, unsafe taxis as well The building itself has a over priced bar serving expensive poor quality food along with a expensive Costa. There is a gym but again to use its at a premium. Over subscribed thus hard to use any equipment.
Literally best university choice could of picked. Lovely accommodation, great variety of nightlife, great facilities and everything is walking distance if your in the city campus. Even though your in the city, all the uni facilities and uni accommodation are extremely close together so its like your own student village.
Great all in all- the SU is amazing and obviously the best in the UK- seriously recommend, the societies and clubs are there all year round so if you are interested in joining somewhere new I recommend joining a few societies maybe sports clubs.
Great facilities and experiences on offer
T-R-E-N-T WE ARE THE TRENT ARMY. Famous for our killer nights out, and our Ocean Wednesday Socials are envied by all... The Tab has voted us Best Poly and Best Overall Uni 2015/16.. What more do you want?
Clifton Campus is like a small village. You are minutes away from the student shop which houses your every need. Minutes away from the student union, where you have the bar and Costa. Not as expensive as you may think. All money goes back into the university to fund projects. It is a lovely campus and even easy on the eye. Everything you can possibly want is on campus or just around the corner, or a small bus journey away.
New pavillion area is great. The point is as good as can be tbh- good place to socialise with friends. The library is a nice place to go to be alone and also to get you away from your depressing room. Joining clubs and societies is essential, however not enough is done to encourage people to join them
Good uni, deserves a higher place in the rankings and better rep. Very good quality education.
It's quite modern and has quite good facilities however the library is way too small especially during exams season , they should really extend it a part from that, the architectural structure is great and the lecture theatres are pretty
Excellent modern facilities brilliant student union and lovely open and green campus.
Everyone is so friendly, buzzing atmosphere
Really great UNI, great location as well.
Really good uni life and night life. However Clifton/peverel is quite isolated so would be better living in the city.
It's the best university for both studies and university life and they have the best campus with all the latest technology
NTU is an outstanding university with amazing facilities. 24 hours library and great wifi. Students union and the gym is also great!
its all good so far, no complaints
Have to keep putting my password in to access internet. Not enough societies, need a chess society . Not enough computers in the libraries. Need labview on boots library computers.
Thought there would be more societies availible
new, motivating and alive environment
Nice uni, very friendly and supportive staff with plenty of enthusiasm. Currently expanding and improving the campus which I'm looking forward to
The SU is super nice! I have joined several society and they are all very welcoming and lots of fun to be a part of!
Amazing absolutely love it here!
It is a really great university with great surroundings and clubs to join. it is very inclusive and good to make friends. However, i find the club options are very limited to some extent with only one dance club and not too many general interest clubs to join. I would love to see more of a range in dances, however the sports is very varied.
Nottingham as a city is extremely diverse and lively. Good clubs and good student life. Nothing more to ask for
Great uni with great support! Huge variety of courses with something for everyone! Local halls close to all campuses and some a great for the price.
Amazing university! Just a shame about some of the other students always looking to brawl or they cannot handle the drink!
Right in the city centre, everything you could want within walking distance. Uni itself is really modern and the clubs/SU is so good.
Going to Trent was the best decision i have ever made
Great city, great course. Never been happier.
Really good social aspect of uni, however can get ridicuously busy and oberrun at student events ie freshers fair
Really good modern facilities, great sports club and societies
Great centrally located city campus with a fantastic student union!
Great campus so far, I just wish some of the lectures were more clear.
Greatest uni. Parties harder than uni of. Fab people
All facilities are new and accessible, something for everyone and the whole uni is buzzing with life
Great campus, great flats, enjoyable course and nice town to be able walk into!
The campus has a great gym facility, great bus service, bar, costa, great shop on campus with free wifi.
Everything you could ever ask for from a University and more
Was actually my second choice of uni but now can't imagine being happier anywhere else: faculty members are inspiring and facilities are amazing
Trent is an amazing uni with graduates performing higher than a lot of Russell group universities. The student body is both friendly and fun and the facilities on offer are second to none. The best decision of my life was coming here!
Excellent, insane experience, well worth it
Everything you possibility need in a uni is here, everything is all sweet.
Nottingham Trent is the best university, it has fantastic facilities and most importantly a great support group!
Amazing university with AMAZING students union and overall experiences!
Great vibrant city campus, bustling with life. On the way to campus buildings, many places to stop in for amenities such as food and drink, like the indoor SU Costa Coffee, the SU bar with the friendliest staff or the NTSU shop. Happily sit in the SU quite often. The library is 24/7 and always has a free computer somewhere.
Amazing first year, lots of great opportunities to meet new people and settle into uni life. Great facilities in the student union and throughout campus.
Great experience, lovely modern campus, everything is accessible, well organised, amazing atmosphere.
amazing uni, social aspect is amazing, and great facilities
Being a student at Nottingham trent has provided me with so many things. I really enjoy my course, I love the student union and there is a massive range of societies to get involved in, and the student club nights always offer a great night out!
Clubs don't just isolate themselves from one another
Had the best times so far at Nottingham Trent, couldn't believe how many events the student union produces and how great all the facilities are
Great overall but needs far more societies with a focus on specific interest not just sport
This uni has loads of opportunities for students. Very mixed uni with a good student mix. Their is something for everyone at Trent :P
Going to NTU was the best choice I made. Nottingham Trent University offers you a fantastic student life. If you seek both social and academic then trent is the place for you. TRENT ARMY!
Great city, great nightlife, top facilities great society
I love life at Trent uni! The career aspects are massive and there is always support available from tutors. The su accommodates for people of all interests. Only problem is that there isn't enough computers in the library
A fantastic university which looks after its students and provides them with an awesome experience of university life.
Excellent law lecturers, amazing night out
Amazing experience for student life away from home! Halls are fantastic and on site facilities are great. As well as nottingham being an exceptional city for both culture and hospitality.
Amazing uni with opportunies for anything you may want to do, often seen as a bit of a boozy uni but has great facilities for students speaking from a science perspective
Really friendly university which is both focused on students and success
Lecturer are helpful, give you good indication of work, lectures are interesting and based on current topic so it is easier to understand.
Brilliant uni! Perfect location. Great career aspects. Better than uni of!
its an amazing university but some things just don't appeal to me that's all.
fantastically diverse and supportive university that offers various opportunities
Clifton campus is a building site :(
Great place, nothing better than trent
Very good uni for anyone who is unsure, especially if you're on city campus! Only rated societies three stars because I was part of creating it rather than it already being established - every other club and society looks great!
Its is an amazing uni but as I am on brackenhust campus we doint benefit from the clubs and societies In the bigger campuses and there is not transport bitweensites if you want to go to main site it is a 40min buss ride costing £7 and to clifton its is more like 2h costing £14+ which makes it impossible to join any of the sports clubs there. The teaching level is excellent. The students are great but the wi fi at brack will direct you to the "students com" website all the time which is annoying. The library is 24h and has plenty if PCs and the bar is cheep and close however it is on the small side and could possibly have a wider selection if beers.
Everything good but internet is slow
The campus (clifton) is being renovated and it seems this year lots of new improvements are being made. Also the libaray was made 24hr so this means there is no hassle to leave which is idea in stressful exam and deadline period. Sport societies and clubs are a big thing at trent and there are loads to choose from in every genre. The Su is good it offers jobs to some students has cheap food with lots of options and offers a couple good night's out a week as well as quiz events and table tennis it's a nice social place and I think this is why makes it inviting.Being a first year I haven't had much experience of career opportunities yet but will be looking into them soon and there are clear signs and places to go. The wifi is good thought campus there is ntu wifi which is good and all you need is yur uni login though only downside is the wifi in halls student com can be a bit temperamental. The uni it's self is fun and welcoming my teaching experience has been great and the organisati
internet is good in uni but shocking in uni halls
NTU is brilliant! They offer so much to everyone and there is always something to do! And we definitely have the best SU in the country
