I've thoroughly enjoyed my stay here at LFW, all the staff and security are very accommodating. The rooms have been recently refurbished and they are of a very good spec. I'll be returning next academic year.

It’s a good experience living in the student accommodation because I have so much comfort and good communication with my flatmates
Overall good and safe stay. Management is quite well and friendly staff.
I have been very happy with my living in this accommodation for the past academic year. The only problems I have encountered were related to the cleaning staff not doing their job properly.
Great value for money this year. Constantly cleaned and frequent work being done. Needs cleaner and clearer social spaces with tvs that work and chalk for the pool table. Would also be nice to have sky/bt sport on the television in the social space. I know many including myself would also like to be given notice earlier in advance for when builders, maintenance and cleaners are entering the flats. Once I was sent an email around 1am the day before to inform us that work would be carried out in our flat. Staff are all really friendly and respectful.
Very satisfied with my stay here so far, no major issues and any minor ones are dealt with promptly and professionally by the on site staff who are always willing to help.
I found Lucia Foster Welch when looking for a cheaper alternative to the accommodation Uni of Southampton offered, as well as accommodation with parking on site. I have had no issues with my stay so far and would recommend Lucia to anyone
Absolutely loving it, Great location and the staff is incredible, would definitely recommend it!
I've lived at 3 different accommodations at uni and my time at LFW was by far the best. They are one of the few student accommodations listen to the students requests and feedback and act on them. If you're looking to have fun and meet some good and different people at an affordable , LFW is the place for you!

Great place to live and in a good location. Great value for money.
My stay in LFW has been Amazing. I met a lot of wonderful people here and staff been more than helpful. Now that flats are undergoing major upgrades, I cant wait to see my brand new room when I'm back in September.
Weak walls you can easily hear your flatmates talking, whenever someone goes out late night if they don't hold the door it wakes you up. very noisy residence. baths water cold sometimes. you can't have a proper sleep here (unless all your flatmates are caring which is very unlikely). Definitely doesn't worth the amount paid. If you have other options, go for them.
Best of the best and that's that !
nightmarish, disgusting halls, awful people. Crack pots everywhere, bullying, not to mention very unsafe. Staff couldn't care less.
Excellent and affordable place to stay.
Lucia is by far the worst halls I’ve ever stayed in, if it wasn’t for the people I live with here, I would of moved to another halls in an instant
Not the best, but met some good people there
Sometimes dirt but had the best memories here
Disgusting cess pit, no birds and cleaners steal
Halls are adequate and great social spaces
Alright. But for the price you pay you could live somewhere closer to uni and with an en suite. But is very ideal for lively first years who like to party.
Great environment, only 20 mins from uni
Really good and sociable halls, and you feel very safe there. Only downside is it’s distance from the university.
Lucia was ok.... very expensive for what was provided
Fantastic friends made at halls very far from the university
I did try and write a detailed report regarding Lucia Foster Welch accommodation unfortunately there’s a character limit therefore I will just briefly summarise; • expensive • kitchens are dreadful, not enough fridge space, ovens and hobs are ancient. • can’t change temperature in showers • loud/ noisy due to cheap door closers and traffic. • rooms are small • internet is dreadful. • they treat you like children by seeing if you are doing the washing up. • heating when working is on a timer. • mattresses are so cheap, it is like sleeping on a piece of wood. I will not recommend this accommodation to anyone, I’ve stayed in Warsash accommodation which is far superior, as you received a dining card, duvet and pillows were included and your rooms were cleaned but unfortunately it is now closed.
I am a Warsash Maritime student and have been staying in Lucia Foster Welch when carrying out my Chief Officer Ticket. I would not recommend these halls to anyone they are a high number of issues. Firstly it being very noisy, you will be next to two main roads therefore all you hear is the traffic and sirens constantly. The rooms are not very sound proof, all their doors seem to slam therefore waking you up. The shower is on push button which I kind of agree as some people may try and take long showers, however you cannot change the temperature!! The hot water has failed on us twice, they have been quick to fix it but still. Regarding the kitchen, there is not enough fridge space for 11 people in the corridor especially mature students as we study all week and do our shopping on the weekend. The hobs you can barely see what temperature they are on as they are so old. The oven is appalling. Unfortunate it will not let me write anymore but I do not recommend this place.
I have just finished living at Lucia Foster Welch and enjoyed my stay. Cleaners did a good job cleaning the flat during week days and I really enjoyed spending Freshers at this halls. You meet a great variety of people so it’s easy to socialise. Only things I would say it would be nice if the common room could be in the same building as the flats as I think it would be used more. Other than that I’ve enjoyed my stay and had little problems. Cleaners can sometimes be loud when coming in in the morning.
It's not the best place to live. Too noisy and too many buildings that just separate the students into groups instead of helping everyone getting to know each other.
The halls weren't very clean...the rooms felt like prison cells.. The corridor was dark. The rooms were poorly ventilated causing damp. If you don't like clubbing and going out at night it's hard to socialise with people... The halls were loud especially when people had been drinking... It felt unsafe to leave my door unlocked when I was in there at night.
Social life is not that great even though it's supposed to be the best for that and a lot of people agree with me, value for money is pretty good though.
Halls are functional, probably not the nicest out of the others but it does the job.
I visited many different student accommodations during my time at Southanpton Solent university and Lucia Foster was by far the best. Being put into flats of 10 gives you the chance to really bond with the people you lived with and 7 of the 9 other people I lived with back in halls i am now living with for the 3rd year.I would suggest choosing halls where you're put into flats. It is also very easy to socialize with other flats if you don't get on with the people you live with. Location is OK, 15 minute walk to uni, bit of a treck to the main nightlife square Bedford place (25 minute walk) but it wasn't the end of the world. We did have a problem with our cleaners during our stay at Lucia Foster where it was found out that they were stealing peoples food and alcohol. But it was quickly sorted out and we were given a ASDA voucher to replace items. There is also no wifi which was a bit of a pain. But internet access to laptops through Ethernet cables. Overall Choose LFW
Lots of good and great. Very little bad and negative true
Definitely got value for money, Couldn't hear much from other flats, compared to other places etc, best year I had and glad it was at LFW only negative was that it was the furthest from uni.
Better than I expected - good living space with great wifi (and Ethernet). Don't use the common room much as I just hang out with people in our flat. The lift in Hudson House is dodgy though, which sucks. Loads of storage space in the small non-en-suit rooms too.
im a mature student (23) and so far its been a bit hectic with partys and drinks (which there is nothing wrong with). Its very social here and everyone is very friendly but if it is a bit party central at the same time. other halls my be better if you want to relax more.
Very nice halls definitely worth the experience
I was here in 2013 and it was a half decent halls, I stayed in Hudson and the social/party life was buzzing, best halls for party's by far!
