Met some great friends, almost luxurious accommodation for students
Looove being in Ranmoor - it’s known as the quiet site which I guess it is but I like it that way. It’s quiet enough that you can sleep but there’s still always something going on if you fancy it. It’s a bit of a trek from uni but I guess it means you get a good step count everyday! There’s also a free gym and printing facilities at the ridge which is helpful. Not really had any issues in the flat, a couple of maintenance problems which were sorted fairly quickly. Had a bit of an issue with cleaners using our things and not cleaning them after (quite ironic really) but we reported it and the issue was dealt with really well. We have Residence Life mentors who visit weekly, although they can be annoying it’s nice to know that if you disappeared someone would realise hahaha
Bit far away from the uni, but close to the other freshers and the flats are decent for student accommodation
A little far from uni, but lovely place to live. Wifi and phone signal sometimes patchy.
Lovely bedrooms- more space than I expected. Bathroom pretty decent, and everything works and is clean. Communal areas in larger flats are really nice, with just enough storage and fridge/freezer space. Mentor is a legend- have had lots of banter :) overall very nice, if a little expensive
Near endcliffe - not as social - small social space
It's same sex and not very big but besides that sure
Cleaners are lovely. The surroundings are beautiful. I love the ridge and the friendship tree. Everyone is up for a good time and there's always a party going on somewhere.
Sort of expensive compared to other units but really loved it as it's quite new so nothing is broken in the rooms or kitchen. The rooms have a great layout with a huge deal and nice pin board. The ensuits are like a big wet room so are easy to clean. Really enjoyed my time there
Great for first year, 25 minutes walk from uni, 10 minutes from lots of shops. Does tend to get noisy late on at night, but this comes with the uni experience. The ridge bar is fantastic with cheap food, pool table, darts and has something different on every night (quiz, bingo, movies, football, etc). Lots of students to make friends with, rooms are decent sizes and bathrooms are small but everything is there what you need.
