I loved my time here in ellerslie, it was so sociable and the common rooms are nice (TV, pool table, table football, piano, etc), I had a double room and it was so big and comfortable, and old building but really clean and fresh, refectory food isn't bad

It wasn't bad nor great.
I would give Ellerslie Global Residence zero stars if I could. There are a number of reasons why I would recommend you to go to another residence like e.g. CitySide: - the food at the Refectory is the worst (I know this is not the fault of Ellerslie, however, you have to go there because it is part of your Meal plan) There isn't a lot of diversity, it's quite expensive and it tastes like nothing if I compare it to my home country canteen. - the heater only works automatically from 6-8 every morning. During the day and night it has to be turned on manually every 2 hours. - I can't even stand straight in the shower since it is so small. - As an international student you are most likely to live outside of the main building where rooms are smaller and outdated. - the meal plan stops at the 13th of December which meant that we weren't catered during the exam period in January (at least I could eat outside now without any bad conscience) - ... the location is great however ;)
full of tories, no social life, everyone has horse passports because theyre so rich
Very sociable hall, lots of social spaces, large common room, large communal kitchen, friendly office and cleaning staff, on campus and catered, lovely building, not modern but feels fresh.
Great, social halls in an amazing location
I have loved every minute of Ellerslie.
