my flatmates were the best, there’s no sofa or enough chairs for everyone in the kitchen - you get to know other floors really well but beware if ur on the top floor as it’s 5 flights of stairs and that’s not fun carrying up tesco shopping
University seems to place halls members in subject pairs, which is endlessly useful throughout the year. Accommodation was modern, with few problems. Facilities were sufficient, value for money was excellent, location was unmatched.
Surrey and Battersea Court are by far the best accommodation on campus. Amazing value for money and right in the centre of campus. Living with 14 people and sharing bathrooms is absolutely fine and no problem, they get cleaned for us every couple of days as well. The kitchens are massive, so Surrey Court is always where the parties are at. Honestly, I don't know anyone who didn't love it in Surrey Court. If you're thinking about whether you need ensuite or not, I would ask yourself whether you think it's worth the extra money just to have your own bathroom and live further away... It's definitely not. I can guarantee you won't regret choosing Surrey Court, and you'll have the absolute time of your life!
Right in the centre of the Uni, no longer than a 5 minute walk to anywhere you need to go. Flata of 14 make it so sociable and you become friends with everyone on your block. Wish there was a social space closer to the block though or in it as no one bothers to hang out in the common room.
Great value for money, I was always sure I wanted an ensuite room at uni but choosing a band C was a great decision. It saved me £30 a week and I can honestly say sharing bathrooms/showers has never been an issue because everyone is in the same situation. Living with 14 people seems daunting and overcrowded but it isn't at all, the kitchen is big enough to have plenty of space to cook and be social. The rooms are a good size and there is a sink in your room which is useful as well! It is close to the library and rubix, nothing is more than a 5 minute walk away
