my friend and I joked it was a literal prison. they lock the doors to each end of the corridor and you can't access other floors (I presume for security reasons) but it means you are confined to your own room basically unless you go down into the common area, which is dead most of the time. I made one friend on my corridor and that was only because we met outside when the fire alarm went off. Apart from that I met none of my neighbours the entire year I was there. I made better friends with the guys working at the desk when I got parcels. It's NOTHING like how you imagine student halls to be. It was very isolating and I spent most of my time out which made it an incredible waste of money. Speaking of money, it's an extortionate amount for what you get, considering it's pretty much impossible to make friends if you're in a studio like I was (it was late when I applied so I had no choice). I really wouldn't go for this place unless you're a certified hermit who loves loneliness. sorry:/
Covid-19: They put up signs informing us about the outbreak before I left to go isolate at home, but I haven't been living there while lockdown was implemented, so don't have any info on it since then.

In a good location, however rooms are very pricey compared to other similar halls. WiFi hardly works in the new block, when it does it is incredibly slow. No proper oven, small microwave/oven which can hardly fit oven trays into. Tiny fridge freezer can just about fit a weeks shop in, freezer can only fit 2 items max.
