There were dead bugs in the flat when I moved in, the hallway in the flat stinks and so do the bathrooms. The rooms get really stuffy and the windows don't open much.

BEST ACCOM FOR PARTY/SOCIABLE PEOPLE!! Tennis is along with mason the most sociable and fun accom. its relatively cheap and i not not have one regret about choosing it. it is in a really good location and close to mason- another accom, which means everyone mixes and goes to other places for pres etc
tennis courts is by far the best accommodation at the university for many reasons. it is the most social, and the most easy to meet people in other flats due to the enclosed block layout which you dont get in mason or shackleton for example. if you like going out you will love TC. it is also the closest accom on the vale to campus which is often very convenient. ones at the top of the vale can be quite a long walk. if like me you are worried about havng your own bathroom, dont be. i was gutted when i didnt get my first choice of ensuite but it is so worth the sacrifice to be in TC. two toilets is more than enough between 5, and i didnt once have to wait for a shower because someone else was in there. it is definitely worth not having an ensuite for the location, social life and meeting others. TC is also definitely the best value for money. it provides everything you need with a large kitchen and two toilets and one powerful shower. kitchens in mason and chambers are a bad shape.
Ranked in the ‘God tier’ by Brum fess! I lived in green community and it was honestly the best place imaginable to be living for the price. The kitchen is a great place to socialise and it has it’s own courtyard for summer. Tennis courts is situated a 10/ 15 minute walk from the centre of campus so is one of the closest. I don’t remember having any issues. Best hall
TC is known for being a very social halls and the block layout is great for this. The closest halls on the vale to campus, so you still get the greenery and student feel of the vale without the treck of a walk from chamberlain! Great value for money, just split a delivery with your flat mates once a week for food!
Gorgeous refurbished kitchen/communal area. TC and Ashcroft definitely the best bang for your buck.
Fun place to be- not much social space
The best halls in Birmingham! Nice kitchens and bathrooms fine. Small bedrooms but big desks. Really sociable halls, very near the campus. Would definitely recommend
Cute, green, easy walk in to campus. Nice sized living space and amount of people per flat. Maintenance okay but not great. Could use more fridge space!!
nice, some problems but then that's going to happen anywhere
I have loved my time in Tennis Courts as everyone is really friendly, the flats are good value for money and it's the nearest hall to uni on The Vale.
TC is slightly s*** but the best location, the best after parties/pres, and by far the best rep and wildest stories (entire block party costing hundreds in damages to name one)
Best experience of my life so far. Don't be afraid of shares bathrooms, they're completely normal and within a day or so you won't have a care in the world. The social life at TC, as anyone will tell you, is unbeatable
Tennis Courts are exactly what you pay for; a cozy council house to sleep, eat, drink and defecate in. It's not a luxury, but at least you're not being ripped off like the Mason folk.
Extremely good value for money, the second cheapest on the vale and most have been refurbished so they look modern. Rooms and quite small but not an issue. Closest to the campus on the vale - 15 minutes walk to campus. No common room/social space but still has the reputation as the most social hall and I would definitely agree.
Tennis Courts is one of the cheapest and closest accommodations to campus, for these reasons alone it is the best accommodation on the vale. Tennis Courts is the most social halls of residence that you could possibly go to. Everyone is nice and social. We eve had two new people move into our block in tennis courts because their flat/block was unsocial and now they already love tennis courts.
Sociable modern & would definitely recommend
Wasn't my first choice but 100% the best halls if you're looking to have the best uni experience
Tennis courts has by far the best social experience of any of the halls at uob. However this comes at a cost, the mess and noise can turn people off.
Most social halls at UoB, you'll definitely have a great first year living here if you like going out a lot!
Best for getting boozed up on the reg - highly recommend if your a legend
Very social, great layout and the best location on the Vale.
Tennis courts is great if youre in centre court but not as goodif your not, its very very social, no one ever tells you off for noise or anything sooo everyone goes out and has best prinks all the time theres great social events run by tc team as well the rooms are quite well spaced and the kitchens great for sociaslising i should be writing an essay now and instead im doing this ffs
Really good if you love partying, if not, then there will be a few people like you around. Would be great if there was a communal area for each tennis court block or something - you can eat in the 'lounge' of your flat, but it would be nice to have somewhere more social where people from the block and other blocks can come.
Very social halls, ours was refurbished in the summer so the kitchen/living area is very nice.
Best location on the Vale, bonus if you get put in one of the refurbished blocks. Kitchens are social and rooms of a good size too.
Great time. Wouldn't have so many friends if hadn't stayed at Tennis Courts with meal plan
Very far from uni, slow internet and very small rooms. And the bathrooms are not good either. Halls are old. Don't pick this as your choice. It was my fourth choice. I was basically forced into it.
Really fun halls, though you are in flats of 5 because of the block layout it is more like a house of 30
I would say the best accommodation provided by this university. Affordable and gives you everything you need and of all the halls it is the best for socialising!
Noisy! But a hell of a lot of fun :) the best place to be to live first year to the full at UoB :)
Expensive comparedto what other unis pay the same for but niceto live in. 1 for cleaning as we don't get a cleaner! But its really not an issue
