The university does live up to its reputation. I would definitely recommend some interior changes and maybe more radiators in the winter! But apart from that it’s a pleasure to study here. read more

I love being at the University of York! The campus is very peaceful with all of its green spaces and animals, all the staff I have encountered have been very helpful and accommodating, and there are so many different clubs/societies to join! I feel very lucky to be studying here :) read more

It is okay but could be better. Particularly the teaching is not great read more

I still think that, based on their genuinely harmful views, the SU should not have ratified Restore Britain society - especially when many of its committee have been accused of being self-proclaimed neo nazis. Additionally, in my experience, the SU have not done all that they can to support LGBTQ+ students, particularly in their cooperation (if it can be called that) with YorQueer and the Sapphic Society. read more

Amazing location, great front desk staff. Been here about a month now and already asked to keep my room for next year as well. Social spaces are amazing! Great access to multiple bus lines, especially the U2 and U3 for easy access to University of York. Laundry is thankfully not Circuti! Laundry app is a little moody but still great machines. Would recommend! read more

I love the nature on campus, so many willow trees and ducks and ponds and you can even buy bird food for them on campus shop however a lot of the buildings are quite ugly and use a pebble stone wall texture on the outside and looks run down with dirt accumulating, the only building I like is the Heslington hall which is the old Victorian original building, WiFi seems to be alright for me however there’s a lot of apps and websites to have for remember which is slightly annoying and I wish we was told when we have things due instead of assuming we know or that we’re constantly checking or even know where to find what’s due and when. Sometimes google maps is a pain since it takes me exactly to the room instead of how to get to the room through the building like eg it will take me to the room however I’ll be on the outside of the building so if I could phase through the wall I would be in the room but unfortunately I can’t. Also timetable constantly changing, hard to predict. read more

I've had a great experience on campus so far, my accomodation at David Kato College was brand new and had great storgae space, maintenance, and activitities and events. The university buildings (especially the law building) are very good and all have good study areas and great cafes and socialising areas. The university itself is sociable with so many societies and activities on regular occasions. read more
