I did art history and I loved it. Art's amazing and learning how to read it has enriched my life in ways I could have never imagined. The one issue is that we live in a country now where our own government has told artists, musicians and the people who support them that their expertise has no value and they need to retrain as something else to survive. I don't regret choosing to study the thing I love, but I can't lie and say that finding a job has been easy with it. Life is about more than money, so if you share that mentality go for it, but if you are eager to be the richest version of yourself in terms of money, then I would say Art History isn't the right course for you. read more

St Mary's is great - such a lovely community of people where staff respect the students and vice versa. Amazing conversations had inside and outside of the classroom. Art History department has a selection of staff with amazing knowledge, but there is not much of a community feel and there seems to be quite a distance between staff and students. Staff aren't always very approachable. read more
