My course has very little teaching hours making it not worth the money. Most lecturers are very good and interesting however some are hard to understand and read off the powerpoints. My personal tutor is very friendly and easily approachable. read more

Although I got a first it was virtually impossible for me to find a job in the environmental sector. Before I attended Reading I thought it was one of the top UK unis, but after graduating I realise a degree from Reading might not be as impressive. Teaching quality is fantastic and lecturers want to support you, therefore my tutor never contacting me wasn’t an issue as I had support elsewhere. There is always someone to go to with issues and they will deal with them very quickly. The geography department need student feedback to know how they need to improve so they certainly Take everything on board. read more

Would not recommend doing a geography degree at Reading. The lecturers don't care, & frankly can't teach. The model assignments put you under a lot of stress, when the module wasn't even taught well - so dont expect to be getting good results. Human geography lecturers are the worst, they're uninspiring, poor are teaching, poor at marking or listening to students. You'll definitely will not get any attention or help. Definitely not worth the money you're paying. THIS IS WHY READING IS NOT A RUSSELL GROUP UNIVERSITY! read more
