The lecturers and everyone are very friendly!! However, it can be hard to understand a topic when they teach us something. I thought I didnt have to be super independent but it seems I need to study by myself in a way I understand because the lectures ways of teaching isn’t effective with me. I prefer images and I’d probably understand more. They like to read off of the slides read more

I overall like my course, lecturers are very nice. I don’t like the assignment briefs and they can be unclear. I do think that there is not enough preparation for real life industry. Assignments are not really making you ready for industry and also feedbacks can be better explained, that would be great to improve my weak parts on the topic. Thank you read more

The speed content is covered at the beginning of the 1st year is slow, as well as consists of easy topics for those who studied A level computer science, however it does get slightly more complex as the year progressive, however there is no tracking of attendance, meaning many students do not attend lectures and get behind, I have only had 1 meeting with my tutor at the start of the year, and 1 since which was an online voice call with many people, this format may not be one that makes some students comfortable opening up about any problems they have had, however the students could email and ask for more sessions with there personal tutor if they wish. read more

You can use this course as a good launchpad into the Comp Sci industry but don't expect it to get you a job. You need to do a lot of work in your own time to specialise yourself and expand your portfolio. I took this course to give me time to specialise myself but primarily to make the transition out of the house and to enjoy the Uni Life. read more
