SES has quite a lot of contact hours (I’m in first year so that’s all I can comment on). We get access to the dissection room which is a really rare benefit of coming to Nottingham and I can’t describe how much that has aided my anatomy knowledge. Most lecturers are amazing and are available to answer questions at the end of lectures or over email. As always with uni there are one or two that are not always super present but there’s always somone else to ask. My personal tutor has been brilliant and I’ve met with him various times to discuss how I’m getting on (they care about both academically and outside of uni) and also to talk about work experience and what I want out of the course. The course content is an area of controversy for some but I chose Nottingham for it so I have enjoyed first year. It is very heavily biology/ physiology and anatomy based, with a small amount of psychology first year and no sociology. But I liked this combination, so it’s just a matter of opinion!
